What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
If it's been 10 seconds since the last time a monster ambushed you a monster is about to ambush you. But the actual monsters aren't too tough to kill. And health and ammo and armor is plentiful.

Yeah, but I needed a break after the 4th mission. I'm sure it's a slippery slope at the halfway point.Exhuminator wrote:GRIN's just playing mind games with you. BTW, the bonus DVD included in this limited special edition of GRAW only showed the gear and weapons a future soldier might see in 2010! No explanation as to why the game is so hard

I am currently playing The Unfinished Swan. Does it count as a FPS?

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Damn, Quake II: The Reckoning is getting annoying. I'm in the fourth segment(of 5 I believe), currently tearing my way through a Strogg spaceport so I can steal a ship and get to the moon.
I would have been further along, but I ended up encountering more technical glitches! It turns out the version available on Steam has a problem where maps and save data can occasionally corrupt. I got hit with it, and as a result of running through the game, troubleshooting, testing saves, and even once screwing up and accidentally trying to load a game when I meant to save in a hurry, I have now played the Outer Base level in segment 3 a total of 6 times. It's not a bad level, but it does get old.
I'm also getting pretty tired of monster closets. They are everywhere in this mission pack. I still think this feels more like a Doom game than a Quake game.
Anyway, I hope to get through this in the next couple of days. I have a quad damage banked for the boss but have yet to find a BFG10k, so I'm a little concerned that I'm gonna have to go in with something else against the final boss. I also find it curious that there was no boss at the end of the third section, but I guess the number of tank mini-bosses I have had to fight was meant to make up for that.

The Reckoning is pretty boss light. And don't worry about not getting a BFG; Quad Damage is hilariously strong with the Hyperblaster, and there's also a powerup that increases your fire rate which is another damage boost.

That weird looking one that looks like the Quake II symbol but with spikes sticking out on all four sides? I wondered about that. I need to check to see whether there is a hotkey for it the way there is for quad damage and the environment suit.
Does the game lighten up at all, or will I be seeing 90+ enemies in each level through to the end?

I think you're going to be seeing a lot of enemies through the end.

Great. Those new enforcers are a pain in the ass, especially the laser-equipped ones.
