He strung me along about selling him something for a few weeks, going so far as to state "I for sure want it, so can you put it on hold?" back on the 21st and then affirming his interest on the 27th. Today he tells me " I had to think over what I really want to add to my collection. I decided that that was not one of my priorities to buy". Seller beware.

I'm going to go ahead and second this, as I had a similar experience with someone3760. He strung me along with the intention of buying from/trading with me, showing interest for several months, only to give me every excuse in the book as to why he couldn't buy/trade at the moment. We eventually lost contact for like 2 months, maybe he ran out of excuses, only to ask me if I was still interested in the trade this past week.

Anyways.. here are the details if you're curious or if they're necessary.
Unfortunately I deleted pretty much all of my PMs with this guy, so the dates and details won't be exact here. I'll try to remember, objectively, as much as I can.

Sometime before Nov 2014 (maybe late Sept, early Oct) I listed some Corsair RAM for sale. Almost immediately, someone3760 showed interest in buying them from me. He asked me to hold it for him because he would be getting some money soon. I agreed to.

After learning more about the kid, I decided to lower my asking price a bit, from $51 to $36 shipped. I figured I'd help the kid out (yes, he's a kid), as he was trying to build his own PC. With that same mentality, I eventually agreed to trade him the RAM for a copy of Final Fantasy Anthology. (This was around Nov, so he wanted to buy it sometime before then)

He gave me a ton of excuses as to why he had to delay his purchase/trade. Some of them were reasonable; he said he couldn't get to the post office until the weekend (again, he's a kid). Some were totally unreasonable; he said Amazon and/or Newegg screwed up his order and he had to pay for return shipping and/or for damages. Anyone who buys from Amazon regularly (i.e., me) knows that their customer service is top notch, I've never had to pay for any of that. And some were just plain stupid; he said he didn't have any money in his dad's PayPal account. Kid, if you don't have any money, why are you agreeing to buy/trade with someone?
I have a PM to him saying "sorry to hear about that".. I wonder what excuse that was.

I don't remember when he used what excuse, but this went on until the second week of Dec. I was going on vacation and I told him I couldn't do the trade until Jan. When I came back, he said he bought his own RAM, but still wanted my RAM so he could have more. I told him I was ready whenever he was (this was when he used another excuse where I said "sorry to hear about that"). This was when we lost contact.
Fast forward to Apr 22, he asked me if I was still interested in the trade. Why? Because his RAM broke.

EDIT: Just tried to make this sound like less of a rant.

I would've left the negative earlier, but it didn't bother me that much, until he showed interest in another member's stuff. Seller beware indeed.

I know i've had similar PM exchanges with someone3760; as has another member friend of mine; as we've discussed it in PM. Neither of our experiences warranted full on negatives in the feedback thread, but he/she is on both of our "do not deal with lists".

Again, another example of searching this thread to read detailed feedback before diving into transactions.

^ Agreed on someone3760.

He's a tire kicker at best and a time waster at worst. On multiple occasions he's tied up some items for a long period of time only to end up changing his mind. I'd highly recommend not holding any items for more than 24 hours for him.

I've never left negative feedback for him because it's never caused any lasting harm, but I can see why somebody would want to.

I honestly wasn't sure if leaving a negative was justified, but then a thought similar to this came to mind

I figured it would help the other members out.. now that I've found out other members have had negative experiences with him, I feel like it was the right call. The lone negative from dsheinem wasn't a red flag to me at the time, hopefully all of this is for others.
