What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I find it odd that what they probably perceive as their target audience actually has a distaste for the show.
Because nerd culture isnt really the target audience. It is more like haha look at these nerds! They cant even get laid amirite? hahaha. Look how ridiculous thes guys are with their manchild toys and video games!

Some jokes are funny at times, but they do the same ones over and over.

as someone who watches it, I don't see it this way. There's actually a lot of stuff in there that ONLY nerds would even get. When problems with N64 emulation is discussed for example, I don't think non-nerds even get the joke honestly.

If anything, NON-nerds in the show are the outsiders.

I agree that it's "nothing special" as a sitcom. But I do think it's funny, and often find the disdain from the "target audience" to be overblown knee-jerk hatred.

If anything, the show tends to lampoon non-nerds as being the outsiders.

I watched the first few seasons. They will use the proper jargon and science principles most of the time, but the show is really just about laughing at the same stereotypes ad nauseum. I am not above some self deprecating humor and laughing about my own interests, they just do it clumsily. I dont hate the show either, as in if it comes on I dont have to turn it off or whatever, but it is pretty meh to me.

As someone whose job depends on the success of shows like Big Bang Theory, I have no opinion.

I feel like I've probably asked you this before, but can you bring back WCW?

I wish. We no longer get great stories like how wrestlers hitting the mat on the first floor of the Mansion would dislodge ceiling tiles during live CNN broadcasts in the basement.
