Yeah, really! They're far more accurate from a distance. I also found that giving myself a support weapon like the machine gun is also better, but for Mission 4 I see that it's more of a sneak/stealth type mission, and since it's at night I'm also giving myself the sniper rifle.Exhuminator wrote:I noticed that too. The friendly AI make much better point sentries than assault teams.
I still need to go back and play the original Ghost Recon. I've got it on Xbox and PC (GOG). PC's probably best.
The original is best on PC, if only because you can assign members to 3 teams instead of just 2, and it also seems that issuing movement commands is easier with a mouse.
I installed the 2 expansion packs (Desert Siege & Island Thunder). First mission on Desert Siege was a piece of cake. I like to unlock the Specialists for each mission, they have better stats and sometimes better weapons. Just remember when assigning skill points, try to have someone on each team with 3-6 Leadership points, for that gives each player in the team an extra skill point in all 4 of their abilities.
I played that years ago. I completed it too. I must have been terribly bored, because not only is it unforgiving in spots, it's also full of movement and collision bugs! I also ran across some unclear mission objectives, and those that I did complete, I felt as if it didn't credit them to me unless I was standing in the right place or something. It was a mess. But the sequel is FPS? Maybe then I'll try it.Fragems wrote:Thought Shellschok Nam 67 was a FPS but it's actually TPS. Played around 2 hours and it's pretty janky so I'm going to move onto 2 which is a FPS.
