Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
You old men with your "real lives" that you can't carve out enough time for non handheld games. I look at your lives and pity you.

Sadly, I spend most of my work day in front of a PC.Gunstar Green wrote:I don't think I prefer any experience over another. I can understand people who don't like playing games on PCs but I've been playing games on computers my entire life so sitting at a desk to play games is as naturally to me as sitting on a couch. I love handheld gaming but it fills its own niche and doesn't replaces games on a bigger screen. All three have their uses for me. All three are still video games.

Every time I hear the windows start up theme I sing "This sounds like work". I have to do the PC to TV thing with mlb.tv as sometimes just being in front of a computer starts to feel like work.prfsnl_gmr wrote: Sadly, I spend most of my work day in front of a PC.
And you guys get a gameboy player for the "crube".

That would be rough. Right now, the weakest link in that chain is dolphin on android. The rest of it is solid. Theoretically, it would all workTSTR wrote:on a phone, right?fastbilly1 wrote:I only play handheld games emulated on windows95, emulated in dosbox, emulated in dolphin, emulated in android, emulated on windows 7, emulated in linux. Really what are we thinking with our sex lives and relationships and having children and such?MrPopo wrote:You old men with your "real lives" that you can't carve out enough time for non handheld games. I look at your lives and pity you.
Disable the startup theme and make your desktop's background a giant smiling Mario face?Luke wrote:Every time I hear the windows start up theme I sing "This sounds like work".
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Eh, or just build/buy something in a HTPC case. You can get ones that'll fit the typical width of a receiver/etc and still take a standard ATX board and all.prfsnl_gmr wrote: I've considered it...
Going the other way, Steam in-home streaming may be better now, and it makes me wonder how decent stuff like an Intel Compute Stick might do with it (or maybe an HP Stream Mini with more RAM).
Not like having a PC on your TV is a horrible thing in general.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
The compute stick has the same guts as the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 that both Noise and I have used for steam streaming. I have had good luck with, but noise has done it alot more than I have. I had no luck streaming FROM it though. It just timed out.isiolia wrote:Eh, or just build/buy something in a HTPC case.
