An Apology

Post by Forlorn Drifter »

I want to write an apology to the forum for how I've been acting lately. I've been irrational, pointlessly argumentative, and making offensive comments. None of this is okay.

I've been having various personal issues as of late, which have caused a lot of anger. Now that I live somewhere else, many of the ways I used to release my anger aren't options anymore. The one thing I did find to get my anger out got the cops involved, and after stopping that, I didn't know where to dump it, so I threw it all here.

In the original thread where the issues I caused started, I went in to put in my piece, and support Sarge in what he was saying. However, rather than explaining my position, and clarifying what I had said when misunderstood, I took a hard defensive position and began arguing like a child. In a few places I said things I did not believe, just to continue the argument, which was inappropriate.

Following into the other thread I created a train wreck in, I continued with my poorly chosen route. I continually argued positions that I honestly did not agree with, simply because my anger was covering my correct thinking, and in such an idiotic state I thought I should stay with it, rather than admit I was wrong or saying things I don't believe.

As such, I would like to apologize to the forum at large, especially any of those I've offended, including Apple Queso, who I've otherwise (from what I could tell) had a good relationship. I would like to repeat, I am sorry.

It takes a big man to admit when he's been misguided. Kudos for the post, and I hope things are going better for you now.

Dave beat me to it. My initial thought was that it takes a big man to say he was wrong. And you've done that. Nothing but much respect to you Forlorn. I'm sure everybody else would agree. Good man.

Can't say it better than Dave did. Best of luck in turning things around.
