What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpful)
Re: What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpfu
"Everyday is Halloween" by Ministry. Actually gave this a listen after hearing the awesome Sharon Needles cover, which shies away from the industrial sound of the Ministry original and features a slower more emotional sound (with theremin by Armen Ra, who Sharon actually met through Amanda LePore, who Needles worked with on one of the other songs on her PG-13 album).
I could totally see a music video for this. It'd basically be a live-action goth-style mashup of a handful of old Fleischer Studios cartoons ("Swing You Sinners", "Betty Boop in Minnie the Moocher" and possibly "Bimbo's Initiation"), and featuring the lead singer dancing like Cab Calloway (if you've seen the Betty Boop cartoon "Minnie the Moocher", which is basically a music video for the Calloway song, then you'd get it).
As for the Sharon Needles version, I imagine a black-and-white slice-of-life look at the life of a proud weirdo's day to day life, more or less a semi-biographical look at the young man named Aaron Coady who would grow up to be Sharon Needles. Funny story, as a kid young pre-Sharon Needles Aaron Coady would watch the late Tammy Faye Bakker on TV, in lieu of cartoons, and stated he didn't even know it was a religious program but felt more like they were old friends hanging out. Needles even has a Tammy Faye tattoo.

I was actually listening to this last night, along with a bunch of old Ministry tunes.REPO Man wrote:"Everyday is Halloween" by Ministry.
Good stuff.
Psalm 69 is my favorite album of theirs, by far. One of the best major-label releases of the 90s.

Decent song. I think I over-played it as a kid and now I'm a bit sick of it.
NWO and Just One Fix make a great one-two punch.
Damn I need to get this on CD again. Misplaced it during one of my many moves years ago.

I'm still partial to The Mind is A Terrible Thing to Taste, but that was a pretty sweet pair of back to back records.
