Oh, yeah, my brother did all the secret stuff we could back in the day. We both played it pretty obsessively. I'd actually forgotten some of the secrets tucked away in there.

I'm going to come out and say it. OMF is my favorite fighting game.

Now I'm not saying it's the best fighting game but I was addicted to it when I was a kid and I still find it fun as hell today. It has a great atmosphere and it's deceptively as complex as it is simple. The robot designs are goofy but that's part of the charm.

The Tournament Mode is great and is possibly one of the first custom character features in a fighting game ever. The arena hazards were cool, the "destruction" fatalities are awesome (especially Shadow's, holy shit) and to me it all felt like a better Mortal Kombat but with robots.

Maybe the nostalgia goggles are stuck to my head with Gorilla Glue but I don't care.

There's an open source project going on too: http://www.openomf.org/

Megatech was amazing. They also published Knights of Xentar. You would enjoy that game.

MegaTech also made Cobra Mission. A friend showed me this back in the nascent days of the PC & the Internet. It didn't feel so dirty back then.

So anyway, yeah, One Must Fall. One of my first multiplayer experiences, over 56k MODEMS! Later on I found out there were fatalities there too. A fully modified Jaguar can still kick ass.

Agreed. As of now I'm ripping through my entire Genesis library, which is a bit over 100 games. So many games like Heavy Nova that I haven't played in over a year.

Also have been enjoying Zero Tolerance, a doom clone where the map takes up half the screen. The key to enjoying this game is to play some music in the background as the music in ZT stinks. One continuous loop of garbage.

Yes, I did enjoy that game, along with Cobra Mission, back in the 90s. Back in the dark days of diskette swapping and shady BBS servers.

Bikini Karate Babes is the greatest PC fighting game ever, hands down. No game even approaches it.

And WeaponLord is the greatest fighting game.

There is one game that does top Bikini Karate Babes.....Bikini Karate Babes 2: Warriors of Elysia!

$35 bucks scores you both games and behind the scenes DVDs. Did you know, the character of Athena was one SHARK TANK!? I had no idea!
