Everyone behaves like that on the internet about everything. The internet is proof that the only reason we are civil to each other is that we have to deal with each other on a continuing basis; it's a survival instinct.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Which makes me sad, because adults behave like this on the internet...about everything.J T wrote:I love how teenagers share their musical interests with hostile elitism.

I really wish I could remove certain threads from my 'view your posts' page. I made the mistake of posting in them once, and now that mistake can never be undone.

Dave's sale thread will ever catch my eye when I view new posts since it has that little dot of me posting in it once.alienjesus wrote:I really wish I could remove certain threads from my 'view your posts' page. I made the mistake of posting in them once, and now that mistake can never be undone.

Huh, that's what the little dot on the circle in Subsilver layout means. I never really noticed before.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Bad analogy to use in this situation, but some fb conversations are like car crashes, you can't look away.
At bieber's roast, Jeffrey Ross said something close to "Ludacris is here. Yeah, Move Bitch! Get out the way! That's what Paul Walker should have told that tree. What? Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?". Luda was none too happy.
So the facebook conversation is all about where to draw the line with comedy. Of course the conversation basically consists of:
"If you don't like it don't watch a roast"
"But that was mean. Comedy needs to have a level of taste"
...pretty much that, but repeated in different words around a hundred times.
Simply wonder how you guys and gals feel about this. Do you think comedy should have a "he's gone too far line"?

I don't know about a "too far line," but I do think there is such thing as a "bad taste line" and a "way too soon line." The Paul Walker line fell firmly into the latter, I think.Luke wrote:Simply wonder how you guys and gals feel about this. Do you think comedy should have a "he's gone too far line"?
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I think it depends on context more than anything. For instance if I were to make racist jokes, it would be very hard to make someone believe I wasn't at the very least a closeted racist. That is unless I was a very skilled comedian. Louis C.K. has the ability to use words like "Faggot" while at the same time reiterating that he is in no way homophobic and the word means something else to him altogether. Being an asshole for shock value, or because it is the only way you can be funny makes it much easier to cross the line in my opinion. I do believe that a line should exist, but that it should be subjective and a comedian that wants to tread it should be witty enough to do so in a way that leaves little room to argue with the humor in the sentiment.Luke wrote:Bad analogy to use in this situation, but some fb conversations are like car crashes, you can't look away.

I wish there would be a subscription for Youtube where you see 0 ads, videos load faster, and a better video player. I can download a movie in 10min, but a 5min video on youtube would stutter if I jump in the time line.Erik_Twice wrote:I do use Adblock, using a curated list.
