I recommend the Cleopatra remix discs for Gary Numan and A Flock of Seagulls. I really like Mark Pistel's remix of I Ran. That video is a sloppy job trimming down the remix and slapping it over some old show appearance, but you'll get the idea.KalessinDB wrote:All this industrial talk is reminding me of the awesomeness that was Cleopatra Records and "Virgin Voices: A Tribute to Madonna" (as well as a few other tribute albums they did)... I was a Cleopatra fan back in the day. Loved Leæther Strip and Christian Death.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I just made the switch from Chrome to Firefox and couldn't be happier. Not only all my memory issues have been solved, there are no longer any brief hang-ups when using Youtube and everything loads faster.

I used to use Opera all the time, until they stopped being "Opera" and instead a rejiggered Chromium. I went back to Firefox full time since then, and yeah, it's pretty great.

I've always liked IE, but lately it has just been awful and now they've all but dropped support and are working on Spartan or whatever. Bleh.

After the most recent Pwn2Own, Mozilla was the first group to patch problems in their browser. That kind of dedication is what I look for.

I've been using Firefox since it first released in 2002, and have never regretted it.

I like how things in the 90's were "ok" to be wacky and colorful. Now everything has to be perfect, professional, and brown/desaturated colors.

There are different trends going on for some things, but I don't think that necessarily rings true across the board. Fairly little is brown or desaturated colors right now (I mean, Windows 8+ is anything but), you've got emojis and such that aren't minimal. There's a general trend towards a flat appearance, versus the soft beveled edges there, or mimicking real materials a few years ago...but quite a lot of them look better, and are often more functional to boot.RCBH928 wrote:I like how things in the 90's were "ok" to be wacky and colorful. I do use Adblock, using a curated list. I do wish there were choices in more sites to pay in exchange of not having ads, I hate adsExhuminator wrote:You won't regret this either. (Assuming you're not using it already.)Erik_Twice wrote:Don't regret it at all.
