It's more the level of violence and how you will put on a mask, enter a building, and end the world of just about everything that lives and breathes inside.
Meh, seriously what's the appeal? Shooting and clubbing mens until they're dead? Ultraviolence and edgingess? Not trolling, just don't quite understand why this game is universally acclaimed, looks pretty repetitive.
It is fun, but I think it is being a little overhyped in here.
It can be really frustrating. But it is a mix of some strategy along with quick reflexes and manuevering. You die very easily, so you will find yourself restarting a level over and over.

But how quickly you restart is part of why that doesn't get frustrating, at least to me. It has that same addictive quality that a game like Super Meat Boy or Rayman Origins/Legends does. That with the quirky story and super excellent music, made it top tier.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
