So I went to a different city yesterday to visit a couple of new to me stores. I ended up hitting two thrift shops, a Gamestop, and an actual game store. The one thrift store was on accident trying to find the other one, about a 1/2 block apart.

I picked up the following:
GBA
Game Boy Advance SP (AGS-001, Cobalt), no charger - $10

Wii
Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident CIB - $9
SSX Blur - $0.90

DS
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride CIB - $22.50

Nintendo Power Guides- $5 each
Game Boy
Super Game Boy
Top Secret Passwords

Extra
Killer Bunnies and the Journey to Jupiter CIB Blue/Yellow starter set - $7
TNA: Slammiversary 1998 DVD - $1

Longer version here:
Anyway, I hit the game store first and while it was cool and had a bunch of games, all were priced at or higher then VGPC/EBay prices. I asked if they had Turbo-Grafx or PC-Engine stuff and their response was "we don't carry PC related items." Picking my jaw off the floor after hearing that I proceeded to explain to them exactly what it is. They had never heard of it or Neo-Geo, in a game store. Just weird. They also didn't carry Atari stuff either but did have some Japanese Saturn stuff. I walked away with a couple Nintendo Power NES/Game Boy strategy guides.

Went to the accidental thrift shop next and was getting ready to leave when I looked in the case and saw a GBA SP priced at $10. Asked the lady working If I could see it and she mentioned she had just put it out and because of condition had priced it low. She said it worked and let me test it since she had charged it. Someone had used fabric marker on it and the finish around the d-pad and buttons was peeling but the screen was great with no dead or stuck pixels. I've wanted one of these for a long time, stupidly sold mine when I got a DS lite, and while I still want a 101 I was able to grab it without a charger for $10! Anyone know if it'd be possible to perform surgery and put it in a new shell?

Went to the next thrift shop but didn't grab anything but I did find a CIB copy of the Killer Bunnies and rhe Journey to Jupiter board/card game for $7. I'm very happy with that one.

Lastly, I stopped into one of the two Gamestops and got Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident, SSX Blurry, and a CIB Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. I forgot I had a $10 off coupon so I'll be returning and then repurchase it at the lower price. I have a couple games to trade in so I believe it'll be $6 if I don't use the coupon.

Nice! Hopefully I'll see mine in the mail this week. I, for one, will be opening and listening to this thoroughly.

I didn't realise Penguin Land was on GB.

Is that a PuyoPuyo game in the bottom left?

Nice score.

I've nabbed many good deals through local facebook groups in the past year or so. Though I'm noticing more and more resellers are starting to tap into these groups lately. You know the "I'll pay top dollar for your old video games, same day cash in hand" type ads. It's getting competitive very quickly.

been out of the "finds" game for a while, just not enough time to hit thrift stores, and when I do, I come up empty. Yesterday though, I stumbled upon something pretty interesting.

I saw what looked like a normal original xbox with a $5 pricetag. I see these all the time, and pass because I dont need another xbox, but for some reason I picked this one up and looked under it and saw:

An xbox debug kit! Totally surprised to find something like that at goodwill. I grabbed it along with a Duke controller for 9 bucks out the door. Once I got home I fired it up to see what was different about it:

So it has panzer dragoon orta and the original on it, along with something called dolphin classic...wonder what that was:

The dolphin just swims around and the frame rate changes, not sure what I expected haha.
not sure what I will do with it, but for 5 bucks, it was worth it anyway. And yes, I am testing it on my fix it felix mame cabinet, it was the fastest way since I have a modded xbox hooked up already to it.

Let me know if you decide to sell that Xbox! I would PM you but they seem to be still down.
