Wow really? You're lucky, the country has very shitty infastructure overall and is the only country in Europe I've been to which still uses data-caps and data-charges.BoringSupreez wrote:Ironically the only time in my life I've had truly unlimited internet was while I was in Turkey, and I only paid $40 a month for it. That, combined with no copyright laws, equaled tons and tons of torrenting.

Well, the FCC recently bumped the definition of broadband to a connection 25Mbps or greater.ZeroAX wrote:Data caps? Seriously with all the huge wealth sylicon valley has created for your economy, you'd think that your government (by which I mean both parties) could get behind developing a first world internet network in the entire country.

There are much worse net connections for those in rural areas. When I worked at RadioShack, I remember hearing a ton of customers complain about their ISP options in Adairville and East Springfield.jp1 wrote:I thought my internet was bad until I saw some of the comparisons on here. For being in a somewhat rural area I guess I'm pretty lucky. 10Mbps down, 750Kbps up, and latency under 60 ms most of the time. They do occasionally oversell and this makes problems, but for the most part it's reliable. No hard caps either, they don't even send a notice if I go over the suggested cap. All for $40 a month. I suppose it isn't too much to complain about.
Cell plan options on the other hand....

I am confused, if your data caps with mobile are 1-2GB and there are home data caps who will be streaming HD shows on Netflix, downloading 20GB games off PSN, and buying Movies from iTunes?
we pay around $106 for 140GB (home wifi) for the whole family but that is no where enough. I thought the U.S. was way better

I have no cap on my home internet and I get 105 down and 15 up.
My cell phone plan has a 15 g cap for 4 people. The most we have used is 14. We could go over if streaming a bunch more, but when it gets close we stop. My old service provider had unlimited, but in order to upgrade my phone I had to go to a new capped plan. The unlimited usage had been the only reason I stayed. But, even if I break my cap, it is $5 per gig

Fiber? Who is your provider? It sounds like a business class service.Jmustang1968 wrote:I have no cap on my home internet and I get 105 down and 15 up.
