I was complaining that in my country we get 7GB for $13 monthly. 1-2Gb is not enough for anything.
What does your data plan cost if you are in the U.S.?
If you're talking mobile, then that'd be fairly typical for a single line plan (at several times the cost of what you pay, to boot). However, there's also an assumption of using other networks. I barely even use mobile data, since I'm using WiFi at home and work, and only have a 15 minute commute between the two.
My
home internet has, I think, a soon-to-be-implemented 300GB/month cap, and my usage is usually more in the low 200GB range.
Some people are still getting grandfathered into unlimited data plans, though those can wind up getting throttled after a certain amount. While a good amount of it can be attributed to corporate greed, on a practical level, the infrastructure simply isn't there to support the sheer volume of traffic that can wind up getting generated.
