My Shulk preorder (from way back in December) was cancelled, just like my Little Mac preorder was in the last wave. I fully expect that, like Little Mac, this one will be next to impossible to find.

A Nintendo meeting brought up that Amiibo cards would likely be coming out this year.

In addition, as the future development, as Miyamoto was talk in the management policy briefing of October, ever figure of amiibo different card shapes of amiibo also plans to expand this year.

It's something they've talked about before as well.

Here we go.

I wonder how they'll implement this. Will you be able to buy a series set for say... $15-20? I'd be comfortable picking up a set for that amount.
I'm not sure I'd buy any if they have random selection like a TCG booster pack.

I would hope that they do it like a theme. Get Ike, Marth and Lucina for $10 or something.

Anyone else think it is funny that these amiibos are just glorified GBA E-Reader cards? The Wii U is just a suped up GameCube. The Gamepad is a suped up GBA connector and the amiibos are the e-cards.

they already stated that demos of games will be unlockable through the amiibos. I am guessing of the Virtual Console Variety. I wish they would put some full fledged games on them though.

Also, I noticed at my work that our amiibo sign has Tom Nook on it. He doesn't have an amiibo....Animal Crossing Wii U? ANNOUNCED!?

My mega man preorder from amazon arrived safely and the couple of mega man I got from target arrived as well.

I got 2 King Dedede from Walmart that made it here in the snow storm yesterday.

My Ike from target was supposed to be here yesterday but was still in Indianapolis.

and my meta knights from best buy got delayed a day so they will be here tomorrow.

I got really lucky getting some of the wave 3b amiibo, btw king dedede is very heavy for an amiibo.

you can buy them at bed, bath, and beyond for $8 (they have a 10" wide version for $6) but my closest store is 30miles away so it was just easier to buy online. I think it will work pretty good til I fiqure out something else.
