I've had one since Christmas and I really love it. Two things I would recommend. 1) Get the controller. It's kind of pricey, but it's really nice and works flawlessly with the tablet. 2) Get an HDMI cable so you can hook it up to your TV.

I've tried all the emulators on this and I'm actually having the most fun with the PSP emulator. The upscaling is great. GBA is also fun.

Anyone care to share their PlayStation settings?

Also enjoying this for Kodi and Sling TV.

I think the tablet is a bit more versatile. (And I was looking to replace an older tablet).

I do hope that nVidia releases a new version of the portable. They seem to be no longer manufacturing them which is leading to some inflated prices on Amazon.

As awesome of the Shield (Portable) is, I'm contemplating getting rid of mine. Basically still testing out my new Windows tablet. Once I get the Ipega controller attachment working I'll really know for sure. But I'm having trouble thinking of anything I'd want to play on the Shield that I can't play on the tablet now!

Jeez, yeah just looked at eBay. I bought mine BRAND NEW in November. I cannot believe that used ones are now selling for more than I paid. That's crazy... and makes me think I probably should get rid of it now haha.

alright so I synced up the Ipega and at first it seemed to only partially work. Then I realized that if you launch Steam's Big Picture Mode there is a controller config in the setup menu. So I mapped everything there and it works great. I played some Escape Goat 2 last night to test out the dpad. Good stuff.

So at least for now I can tell you that if you plan to use it for Steam streaming, then you should have no problem since you'll map the buttons via Big Pic's overlay. As far as using it on non-Steam games... I don't know yet. Though I suppose you could get around that by just launching non-Steam stuff thru Steam?

In related news is anyone in the market for a pristine 4-month old Shield Portable, let me know.
