Best of all? It's cross-play with the Dreamcast version! That's not just talking in the lobby - you can join the same games and complete missions together!

So for any of you who don't have the DC version, or just can't get your internet working, I can get you set up with a PC version and you can play with us folks on the Dreamcast!

Speaking of! I'm up to level 17 Blu! We'll have to play again soon!
Count me in! I am down for runs as always. I've been tempted to give my Gamecube version a spin, but PSO burns through drives on any system and I only have one Gamecube!

Bangai-O is a little pricey at $50. I got mine for $40 a while ago, but that's where I'd say the pricepoint should be at. I'd echo choosing the DS version as well, and see if it entices you enough to try the DC version.

I was going to post something about Alice Moms rescue. I also agree on the pricing of this game is a little steep. Not saying at all that the developers shouldnt get paid for their time and effort. However the game is on available on several platforms. I feel the game couldve of been better priced.

I have no real experience in making a game for a console, I have no idea the size of the team that created it, or the ambitions of the creators. But I will say that from the trailer, the game looks pretty simple.

Plain, non-animated (except for the intro) backgrounds, and minimal animations (I only noticed two or three for the main character). It's hard to say anything about the controls without playing it, but just from looking at the jumps it appears that there isn't a whole lot to the physics in it.

I think they had the right idea when they made it a mobile game.

Not to dump on the creators. I'm sure the puzzles are fun and i'm sure that the game has its charms. This just doesn't look like a game suited to a $40 physical copy.

I can definitely appreciate someones love for an old console. If I made a game, and I had the opportunity to put it out on the Dreamcast I certainly would.

But I feel like it's way too easy to just dump a cheap game on an old system and make money off of it. I typically don't buy indie stuff like this. But as i'm considering picking this game up just to have a complete library, and wondering if I should really get Dux, Dux 1.5, and Redux, and how much I could justify spending on a copy of Frog Feast just to have a "complete" library. I can't help but wonder how much of this stuff is predatory to collectors.

Not to insinuate that this is the developers intention, but it is certainly something I think about while looking at it. All these low quality, "high dollar" games kill my desire to get into the Dreamcast Homebrew stuff. Even if they haven't put me off completely, they certainly have made me skeptical of backing any new projects.

it depends on how many units they sell, any one have any idea what are the sales expectation?

$4 is very good for 100k units, but for 100 units $40 is a bit little.

I think $19.95 US wouldve of been more appropriate. I dont want to point fingers and say they did it for this or that. At least im trying not to. I dont know exactly how much they spend on having the CD pressed, insert jewel cases etc. It cant be more than $3 bucks or so im assuming.

CDs are ridiculously cheap to produce, even in small quantities

I'd agree with $19.99.

The Goat Store games can get away with it.

Ever try and mute the TV and "quietly" play the Dreamcast when someone is sleeping in the same room. As the DC starts its charming drive reading sounds..Screech, Screech, grind, sheek, sheek..

In a game like D2, you know when the random encounter is about to begin thanks to that!
