Good looking platformer but frustrating as hell.
Early doors but I'm thinking I'm gonna pass on this.
FYI there's a semi remake on DS that you could give a go first, then figure out if you wanted to go for the DC (Or N64) version.Ghudda wrote: Lastly, is Bangai-O worth the current asking price? (around $50)

Technically it's cross-compatible with the Gamecube version as well. Sylverant just doesn't support it. There are a lot of exploits in PSO, and I guess that it just gets worse when you add in the Gamecube version.Ghudda wrote:Not sure why I wasn't aware of this, but I had no idea that the servers were cross platform (which makes sense). That's really cool. I've been meaning to check out the PSO private servers. A part of me really wants to invest in the Gamecube setup, though.
I think you can get the goat store bundle for $50 shipped from their site. I've been meaning to do this for awhile. Just grabbed a dance pad from Noise, unfortunately I haven't taken the time to get Feet of Fury yet. The dance pad was japan only, so it's cool that they supported it. That alone makes it worthwhile to me. But i'm a sucker for that kind of novelty.Ghudda wrote:As far as my Dreamcast gaming, I picked up a copy of Feet of Fury homebrew sealed at a local game shop for $10. I have yet to pop it in, though.
Anyone have experience with the game? Worth investing in a dance pad for or does it play just fine with the controller? Also, any other goatstore homebrew games worth investing in for the Dreamcast (Irdes, Inhabitants, Cool Herders, Maquipai)?
I'd agree with everyone else and say the DS version is definitely the way to go. If you like that enough, then consider the DC version. I'd say at $50 it's kind of steep.Ghudda wrote:Lastly, is Bangai-O worth the current asking price? (around $50)
Fair enough. I hadn't gotten to it yet.alienjesus wrote:The DS version isn't a remake at all. It has unique levels, weapons and gameplay mechanics. It's a sequel.
