At first I look at the picture and just think it's some sort of highlight picture.

Then I realize the guy has a Stretch Armstrong arm. Except humans don't have arms like that.

Super Bowl was Super Entertaining. But besides one play...worst "football" I've seen in a while. It was if players avoided trying to tackle, and when "that catch" at the end of the 4th qtr. happened, a Patriot literally jumped over the ball while it was in air. He could have kicked it, intercepted it, tackled the "Hawk...but he JUMPS over the ball in play.

Perhaps he's just an idiot. And when the Seattle scored via pass it was as if the Patriots didn't seem to care about coverage.

Commercials were terrible, but for the first time in my life I thoughtthe half time show was pretty amazing. Now if I'm not attending an opera or symphony, the bands I see perform in stinky clubs with one dollar PBR's. But holy shit. Not even a fan of K. Perry but she but on one hell of a spectacle of a show. I enjoy Aerosmith, LOVE Prince, but their shows were weak. And if you don't enjoy her music...'scool, but you can't say she didn't have a great (although lip synched) performance.

Back to the game...

Not sure if I will stop using the reference "Twenty-four" for a long, long time. Good on Sherman for being who he is, it's just too bad that who he is, is a fool. Talented fool, but still a fool. If only his brain and his mouth could communicate with each other.

I was surprised to find that I recognized one of her songs (apparently a four year old one, I was told). But I agree - it was a fantastic half time show that brought the spectacle the way that a show like that is supposed to. As soon as I can figure out how to make it work feasibly, I plan to roll into every lecture hall on giant golden lion wearing a suit with flames on it.

And yeah, Pete Carroll probably can't find a large enough rock to hide under today. What a horrible play call. It's a good thing he won a championship last year, or he might be laughed out of Seattle.

Hey, I said I liked it. I have no qualms with her, she's good at the pop music thing and obviously revels in the spectacle and superficiality that best suits so much of the Top 40. I don't say that as a slam, it takes talent to pull off the pop star thing in a way that doesn't seem pretentious, cliche, or self-serious.

Plus, she brought out Missy Elliott, so Perry's ace in my book.

no I meant it was weird that you only recognized one song. And you're quite right, she's very self-aware. And her songs are catchy as F.

That was an offensive coordinator playcall, not Carrolls really. I dont even like Carroll.

Halftime show was ridiculous, not a fan of her music much, but it was a spectacle. My wife enjoyed it.

I will one up Dave, Ive heard 2 of her songs.

I actively avoid any radio station that isn't NPR. I probably recognized the one song from hearing it in stores, in commercials, or some such.

Carroll is final arbiter and he tried to "explain" it as his decision in the postgame. Maybe he's just taking the heat, but I still think he has to make a decision to hand the ball to Lynch three times there.
