Is that site entirely honest on the members of congress who are for/against this act?
I'm usually fine with the right but damn it looks like they're getting a collectively nice kickback to support this stuff, if the argument is honest here on the surface about slow lanes.
I feel like a lot of folks pushing this don't understand the concept of network management.
I also have little faith that what gets passed will actually result in the platonic ideal that's being pitched. When government is involved, it generally doesn't. I think it's a case of breaking what's fixed.

Youre right, nothing will change, everything on the internet will continue as always, the lack of replies to this topic show that no one cares probably because nothing will change anyways.
I mean, i didnt sign any petitions or write to any politicians
As far as I'm concerned, anytime the government or any federal agency gets involved in anything, especially for the "good" of the American people, it's time to get worried. So what exactly are they after and what do they want control over?

The accusation is as much that many politicians, and many from the right compared to the left want to set it up so ISPs can regulate how much bandwidth you're allotted depending on the websites you hit. Ultimately they can make unfriendly or non-butt kissing to their wallet sites crawl or not report back to the ISP you're using for service, and others who pay out the ass some bribes can get the fast lane to speedy town for you making them preferred places.
It's assumed it would happen if that bill passes more or less because it's allowing the ISPs to regulate how traffic works. One would I think also have to imagine that all the ISPs will get in a room like the traditional oil barren fat cat political art of a generation ago smoking cigars, laughing, and all colluding to fuck with their customers. Somehow I just don't see that happening because there will be other ISPs that'll pop up or just decide to screw with their plans to steal their users away for more profit by advertising they won't mess with your speeds and access to places touting freedom of data and access (I know I would.)
I know some will go ....but but but I only can use comcast, cox, time warner, etc. Well bullcrap on that, there's many of other services including total package things like at&t uverse so there will be choices to get around them I'd imagine in most places. TWC was screwing with my livelihood since I work from home screwing with my connection speed and noise over the line then tried to delay coming out to fix it. I ditched them from coax to fiber optic with at&t which is so called slower and I end up getting better out of it, stability, and for less cash, and less stupidity.
Let's be honest here; anytime the Government decides, "Hey! Let's do something new with the internet!", they either kill it off in a few weeks, or silently kill it in the next few days.
Remember SOPA? That was killed off in a matter of weeks, because of how much negative feedback it got. They also tried one called CISPA, IIRC. You don't hear much about that one, though, because they silently killed that one in a matter of days.
Bottom line; nothing to worry about. Internet-related stuff from the Government only last a little while, and then people either forget, or it gets silently killed off.
At least that's what I noticed.
This user really likes SEGA Saturn. Avoid at all costs.

it is totally something to worry about, and the reason those bills weren't passed was directly the result of people worrying about it.
