I'm proud to say that I own every game on the top 30 list including the honorable mentions and Pirates Plundarrr. The only one I don't own is Little King's Story, which I've been trying to track down a complete copy of at Gamestop. However, I do own the European Vita version of it so all is right.

Has anyone else played Disney Guilty Party, or Dawn of Discovery?
Guilty Party is pretty cool, just figured it didn't appeal to enough people (ie: definitely targeting youth) to garner any discussion. Dawn of Discovery is pretty much straight up awesome though.

List looks good.

I think Guilty Party is great fun for adults as well. My wife and I enjoyed the hell out of it. It's basically Disney's version of a who-dun-it (Clue). It's got great gameplay and excellent voice acting. It's a real hidden gem in the Wii library for sure.

I don't know that I would list the original Red Steel even in honorable mentions. It was widely panned for a reason and the second game was a huge improvement. The original Blue Ocean could make the list though.

It is a fantastic fun game but deeply, deeply flawed. The actual fighting system was a huge improvement over Budokai Tenkaichi 2 but beyond that, the game was actually a step backwards in many ways. The story modes made no effort at exposition and instead chose seemingly random battles in the decades long saga to depict. The cast of characters exploded but so many of them were re-skins with no unique moves of their own or (worse yet) stats that were so unbalanced that there was nothing to recommend choosing them over the main cast.

It's best left off the list but it deserves a nod as being a really fun game.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Yes, I do agree that some of the characters were grossly unbalanced, but you could also equip items to even things up if you wanted to.

For the most part though, it seems like a lot of the roster was more fan service than anything. I didn't think it warranted a spot on the list, but it will be in my personal collection for the duration.

Absolutely. I have it and BT2 in my Wii library. Perhaps Xenoverse will finally be the game to unseat the reigning champions but the bar to meet is very high.

the DBZ fighting games have an HD remake on X360 and PS3, so the Wii/PS2 versions are not really going to stand the test of time.

I thought that the HD games were just Budokai and Budokai 3. If I am correct, then the later-released Budokai Tenkaichi games might hold up since they contain additional characters, different content, etc.
