It's simple: this list is the games that 10 years from now, you'll still be playing.
Personal preference/genre preference has a lot to do with all of our choices, and it's highly unlikely we're ever going to agree on a mutual top 25. We'll probably agree mostly that some titles are unequivocally good, while some are unequivocally bad, and others are in that grey area defined solely by preferences.
Many of the games we're discussing here ARE in my library and will CONTINUE to be in it, REGARDLESS of this top 25 discussion. When it all hashes out, it's not like the top 25 will invalidate any of our own personal choices. Hell, Elebits is probably in my top 5/top 10, but virtually no-one will agree. Same for the Ultimate Shooting Collection debate, or Ghost Squad. It all boils down to personal preferences.
PERSONALLY, I love to see people defend titles that other people disregard. It's all part of the fun.
