Yeah... I've got 3 so far and I want more. There's only 29 games in the library, it's one of those ones that just cries out to Pokemon em up...

Of course it's also, sadly, unlike the MVS in one very important way: BIOS does not control language on the game. Which means ideally I'd love to get English games. Which is so not happening for the overwhelming majority of them, since group buys come from SE Asia exclusively.

But it's a really cool library, I'm glad I got turned onto it, a lot of 4p Beat-Em-Ups which I'm a fan of.

As cool as it would be to get into that stuff, I think I'll draw the line at MVS. Getting way too obscure and expensive if I look beyond that.

Plus, my "real" gaming/collecting interest is mainly 8/16-bit JRPGs and I don't want to stray too far.

Also, I'm unemployed.

Yeaaahhhhh.... GOOD LUCK!
I'm just having fun with you because I have no self-control so I assume no one does. My "real" interest was always consoles, but MVS was my gateway drug -- I have an AES and my buddy has a standup 2slot goldie MVS, so I started buying games for his system, then I got a converter, then a supergun, aaaaand then the floodgates opened.

Still have stuck to cart-based arcade games so far, but god only knows how long that'll hold -- I guess I still have a Naomi, Atomiswave, and F3 to get as well as a handful of less popular ones.

The whole "technically unemployed" angle though, that might help you out with the self-control that I don't have

Oh, we're talking about arcade gaming?

I've got a decent assortment of MVS carts (looking to catch 'em up), but also a small-but-nice collection of CPS2, Naomi carts, Naomi GD-Roms, Atomiswave, and ST-V.

Will definitely get an F3 for Elevator Action Returns and a Kaneko Super Nova for Gals Panic at the very least.

I just tested out the ST-V Darksoft cart. So far it works great, but I've only tried Radiant Silvergun and Cotton 2. (I already own all the other games I want for ST-V that don't require kick harnesses.)

A couple of random thoughts about StarCraft:

Mission 3 is to survive for thirty minutes while waiting for a group of dropships for an evacuation. I do fine until the final minute, when the Zerg just straight up bum rush my ass and ostensibly wipe out all of my units. The dropships finally arrive and I think: "Who's there left to save?" :?

I just learned in a cutscene that the "toss" in Protoss is pronounced like the word toss, where I've been pronouncing it like "ohs" (like in verbose). So it's pro toss. Now I have to ask: Are you pro-toss or anti-toss?

And this is why i'm glad I don't have the money, time, or effort for this type of thing. Honestly I love the whole arcade scene for some odd reason and wish I had the money, time and space to invest in it...

I have always wanted to start an Atomiswave collection mainly for Dolphin Blue.

One day, I know Atomiswave is fairly "consolized".

Well, fun thing about that mission is that you can actually do better if you work on wiping out the Zerg bases before the near end of the mission. It's not too difficult to do because they don't produce that massive horde of units until the end of the map.

Heads up: Intellivision and ColecoVision Flashbacks are $19.99 at Sam's Club now.

I got the Coleco one today. Game selection looks mixed, but it contains some of the homebrews released a few years ago which is interesting.

Still undecided on the Intellivision one. I already own 55 or so Intellivision games (compared to my 10-ish ColecoVision carts) so I may just skip it.

My local Sam's Club doesn't seem to be carrying the Atari or Genesis clones anymore. Not a huge loss for me, as I already own so many actual carts. But one would think those would be the most popular.

The Colecovision flashback is worth it just for the Mecha-8 homebrew.

Thanks for the heads up, Bone. I still want the Intellivision one and the price is right.

I received the Atari flashback as a gift and bought the Coleco at a local grocery store when it was on sale for $29.
