^^
just finished watching that myself.
This thing has plot twists up the wazoo. Love it. Fantastic production from Syfy.

Reign on Netflix. Its about Queen Mary of Scotts. Check it out if you're interested in the Queen Mary of Scotts period of history.
Also, lots of eye candy; especially the Queen. YUM!

Syfy's 12 Monkeys looks promising.

Broadchurch is about the only thing I tune in for. Great cast, great story and great setting. I hope the new season can stay the course and not lurch into soapy melodrama.

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
My wife and I (finally) watched the final season of Sons of Anarchy last week in the form of a marathon. I'll say straight off the bat that this has been one of my favorite series in recent memory. I feel like it might have meandered a bit somewhere around the time that the whole MC packed up and went to Ireland, but for the most part this is a series that stayed true to its vision, and greater story arc. I really liked that the final season brought everything back full circle to the, "Let's re-imagine Hamlet as a modern street crime drama … but with motorcycles" premise that it started with. By the time the final episode rolls, you've seen all the pieces fall into place and all you can do is sit back and watch them play out in their diabolic machination. The final Eddie Vedder song playing over the closing scenes is just the icing on the cake (if you enjoy Eddie Vedder I suppose, which I do). Special mention also needs to be given to Marilyn Manson's performance as the leader of the Aryan Brotherhood, which while lacking in the raw menace of say, J.K. Simmons performance in Oz, was consistently entertaining (and to be fair it would take a whole helluva lot to match the level of menace that J.K. Simmons portrayed – I still can't look at that guy the same way, and I haven't watched Oz in years).
This week we're looking forward to watching the final episode of American Horror Story: Freakshow. This season has been fantastic in terms of performances, but I'll state point blank that this show has the strongest female cast currently playing on television (referring of course to the triple threat combo of Lange, Bates, and Basset with fantastic supporting female characters to boot). In other words they'd have to be actively trying to phone it in with mediocre performances given the caliber of the cast. This show has definitely been a fun watch over the course of the abbreviated season. In terms of story though … I feel like this one has faltered a bit when compared against the twists and turns presented in past seasons of AHS. The story here has pretty much run arrow straight in a more or less predictable fashion. So that's slightly disappointing when compared against the glorious weirdness of past seasons. Ironically the story presented in Freakshow has been the least freaky tale that AHS has presented us with thus far. At least we've been mercifully spared from another full length Stevie Nicks video (Yes, I'm looking directly at you Coven … with spite in my eyes).

I'm still not convinced. I don't see how a Terry Gilliam movie could be turned into a good TV show.Pulsar_t wrote:

Just realized that Penn & Teller's Bullshit is on Amazon Prime. Thanks for not letting me know this Amazon Prime. They do a horrible job showing what is newly released and what is available to see. Going through the whole series now.
