I was going to mention the JVC HD-ILA TV's (LCoS) and the Sony SXRD (LCoS) TV's but I'm not sure if they make them any more.

If you get a JVC HD-ILA make sure it's a 2007 model or newer, all the SXRD TV's are great from what I understand.

Many of the same advantages of DLP but no "rainbow effect" like you see in color-wheel DLP's. LED light engine and Laser based DLP's don't have the rainbow effect issue, at least not that I can see.

I just recently bought a 32" and 42" Sharp Aquos lcd's and I really like them alot. you gotta get your face up real close to see the dot pattern, within 2 feet.

they have plenty of conectivity, very nice frames imho, they sound pritty good as is. lots of adjustments in the picture color and sizing to deal with different content sources.

I've read somewhere that Sharp makes alot of the lcd panels for other brands too. I have read the make the PSP screen.

I spent quite a whoile lurking AV forums and reading CNet. as well as looking at some in stores. at the time they made the only 32" 1080p set all others were only 1080i. some say that wouldn't matter but from 6 feet away I can easily see the dot pattern of 1080i and this one was for the foot of my bed so that was not so great.

so...I vote Sharp !
Ocelot, did it again...sorry Boss !

I don't know where you get your information from but this is flat-out wrong.

LG is an OEM like Samsung, Sharp, and Panasonic. They make their own TV's.

Insignia might be a spin-off of LG, but as far as I know they (Insignia) are a Best Buy only brand.

The best will be whatever is in your price range. Sony makes a solid product. Id suggest looking at reviews online at Amazon for the best TV in your size and price range. If you have a huge room look at going to a 42"+, but if its a bedroom or smaller, you really dont need any larger than a 26". 32" fits well in both.

What's the response time like on that? Have you noticed any lag issues on old consoles, such as running Super Mario RPG and doing the timed hits (especially the super jump)?
Hey what's up?

I have tested my HDTV on a bunch of old consoles and haven't had any trouble with lag.. I haven't tested Super Mario RPG yet but I will and get ya the results..

I haven't had any lag on rhythm games like Guitar Hero or DDR that I noticed..

I believe the response time is in microseconds its much faster than LCD response times in milliseconds of 4ms-6ms avg. some I know are slightly shorter..

My TV has response time of 16 microseconds and in addition to the game mode Samsung TV's have really helps..

Is there any other titles that you want me to test?

I personally have had lots of success with panasonic plasma's and samsung lcd's.... also sony lcd's are suppose to be top of the line. i would just check cnet.com and look at there reviews and top ten lists. they always make sense of it all. Good luck find the right tv for you.
