Nice find!

When someone mentioned above that The Calling was (possibly) reprinted, The Grudge immediately jumped to mind as another game that I wanted but never got the chance to grab at reasonable prices - it hasn't be sneakily increasing in price, but has been tough to find and rather expensive for years now. I've never seen a copy in half-way decent shape, so your find looks pretty awesome.

There apparently isn't much to the game - it's short, not terribly replayable, and not even very interactive... but the "haunted house simulation" sounded very interesting to me. Hope you enjoy it!

Not sure if iy's been discussed but one of the rarest I'm aware of is American Mensa Academy. Seems like it received an extremely small print run. Doesn't even appear in Gamestops database.

I wonder if some games like Madworld, The Last Story, and other known or obscure games over time will go up in price. I find that out of the last-gen consoles that the Wii will have the highest or most collectable games for the system. Although it was very popular initially and sold great; but it started to lose steam there in the later part of its life cycle.

I think only certain games will hold high resell for example the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword collectors edition with the Wiimote. I see that at on the Bay for $100+ all the time. I would think with in the next 4 to 5 years is when the market for what is collectable will be known, and the reason I say that is because; that certain people who bought it will be older with more disposable income. It will be the kid who was eight or so and will be 17 to 20 who will want that nostalgia of playing there Wii when they were a kid again. Then again I could be wrong but that always seems like the trend of how it happens.

If you look at the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox certain games are on the rise across all of them from Conker Live and Reloaded, Luigi Mansion and games like Blood Will Tell are starting to rise because of the age demographics like I said above. The Wii will be there but I think it's going to be bit before we know.

I can't believe Madworld is still so cheap. I nabbed a pristine copy for 7.99 at EB Games a couple of years ago. It's so unique and cool. Same scenario with Sin & Punishment. I paid 3.99 for that one at the same store. I wonder if these will go up once more people discover how great they are.

I mentioned it on the Wii U thread. Nintendo announced Wii digital games coming with Mario Galaxy 2 today and Metroid Prime Trilogy on the 29th.

Think Trilogy will drop now?

The GameStop used copies could change in price.

On eBay the different GS version can go for $45-$60, but the original steelbook version seems to go for $85-$120.

However, it appears today there's some buy it now listings for the steelbook version at $55-$65. I'm curious if they're just showing inaccurate images to ensure someone buys the GS version at an inflated price.

I don't think that the Metroid Trilogy, Galaxy 2 or other games that have high collectible or resell value will drop much at all. Every one wants something tangible that can be not only played but displayed as most collectors like to do.

Games that are re-released on a digital format are great for those who just want to play the game; that other wise could be hard to find. But, the console that it is played on has a console life expectancy. Once those services stop or run out; it does you know good to have digital copy if you can not play it. But as we all know this subject has been debated before weather Digital release hurt physical value.

But it will be interesting to see if the digital release of Metroid Trilogy on the Wii U will impact value for the physical version. Me, I don't think it will effect at all or by much. But who knows.

What I was getting at is, I could see GameStop changing their used price for Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Which is pretty much outside of the eBay circuit for the newer versions and original versions of Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I could see that happening on GameStop's side. It is very well possible that there could be a reduction in price. But I could also see them keep the price the same and selling Digital Vouchers like they do now for digital games in store. This will depend on if Nintendo will allow that to happen. Knowing GameStop they will do what they can to make money of any kind of high value Nintendo property. I mean look at Pikmin 3 right now in store. 55+ for used copies when they have it and possible could keep going up depending on the market.

I think the safest bet now in the "Nintendo market" is if you really want the game or now amiibo. Buy it new cause who knows what the hell the value will be down the line lol. I know it is hard to buy everything new for a lot of people. I mean I am a deal hunter like everybody else, but I understand the Nintendo collectable tax if you follow my drift.

I find it interesting since some of the hard to find games that have been receiving reprints, thus affecting the rarity/value, may be affected by the news that Nintendo is making Wii games available on the eShop.

If this had occurred sooner, we likely wouldn't have seen MPT, Xenoblade, etc... reprinted and thus they would still remain hard to find.
