I'm not guaranteeing that this will work, but when I bought Killer 7 from my Gamestop and the sticker on the spine tore the cover I started filing complaints and giving negative reviews to that Gamestop, specifically citing how frustrated I was with the sticker thing. Soon after that they started leaving the stickers on the wax paper when they put it on the spine so it could just be slid out. My Gamestop back home does the same thing. Fuck you gamestop, why, you're even infecting stores that aren't yours.
EDIT: Okay fuck, they even put stickers on the insert under the case. so directly on the paper insert. fuck seriously, why.

Eh, I don't buy frequently enough and rarely from the same gamestop. This particular game didn't even come from a gamestop. But I think its mostly on older games, like the type of sticker that was on the manual was a sticker I don't see very often in gamestop anymore. Unfortunately the older stickers were more adhesive.equalsign wrote:I'm not guaranteeing that this will work, but when I bought Killer 7 from my Gamestop and the sticker on the spine tore the cover I started filing complaints and giving negative reviews to that Gamestop, specifically citing how frustrated I was with the sticker thing. In my opinion GameStop is ruining there own used game sales by fucking up the games with stupid stickers. I refuse to shop there mainly for this reason. Also because they reseal games and sell them as new.

I bought three games at a GS last week and took something like 11 stickers off the three boxes. Totally lame.
Re: Score! EB is good for something...
If the stickers are on the outside and not directly on the paper, I've used the product Goo-Gone, conservatively, to remove the gum residue.
I picked up copies of MGS2 for the Xbox and Eternal Darkness and, luckily, the stickers were on the outside. Goo-Gone worked wonders.
Also, if you check local video store, they often will give you empty game cases for nothing. I grabbed a bunch of PS3 cases from Blockbuster for free to put my 'Greatest Hits' titles in since those red cases are shiteous.

The complaints about GameStop reminds me of this. I've never had quite that bad of an experience at GameStop or EB Games.
