Love the video Spoony, Samba is one of my favorite games on the DC and like you, one of my left maracas works less than outstanding on one of my pairs.

On another note:

When will this madness end!?

I'm glad I got everything taken care of when I did!

I just picked up RE2 for $22 shipped only 3 months ago. It was a good deal then, but not too terribly far off from going rate at the time. That's a major price hike.

I'd say wait on it and you'll find it cheap - but the DC stuff is certainly on the rise at the moment. That may be the price for awhile.

On the other hand, I just bought a CIB set of official maracas for $90 shipped (expedited, I couldn't wait). So there's always hope of finding some of those gems at reasonable prices!

In other news, those maracas are at my doorstep and I absolutely can't wait to get home to try them out!

That's just one sale. I've been looking at that one and all my dreamcast games for the last couple years, looking at completed ebay sales. $25-35 consistently. Crazy some clown would pay 70+ if it's legit.

Agreed. I paid only $27 shipped for my copy off the fleabay. It was in really nice shape but with a few stickers on the case. However that was no trouble as I own a hair dryer and some goo gone. Those stickers came off in 3 mins of arrival and I'm happy to own all the different versions of one of my favorite games.

The maracas I was using in the video were the Samba Fans Maracas. They have beads in them and light up when shaken. The official ones have beads in them but do not light up.

I do appreciate the sensor bar in the official ones a lot more. Just knowing where to stand and having a one-piece sensor bar makes me feel like more of the mistakes made are on me instead of the hardware.

I owned both an official set of maracas, and a third party set, don't remember the brand, but the official was much more reliable than the 3rd party, but both were totally playable. I regret selling them, and totally need to get at least 1 set again.

No good. No good. My oldest and favorite Dreamcast started giving me a rather interesting issue yesterday eveing making it inoperable :(

Planning to replace the PSU board on it...

On the bright side, I recently acquired a new montior that make the visuals on my dreamcast games look incredbile, both 3D and 2D games.
