What happened to being able to stream Steam to your TV to play in the living room?

Just thought I would add to this thread -

With the Steam Winter Sale going on right now, all of the games mentioned in this thread are super cheap. I already snagged Jamestown and I plan to buy a couple more at least.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

Here's my list:

I'm thinking about making a more complete list if anyone is interested, but some games are difficult to categorize as traditional shmups (like Really Big Sky, Velocity Ultra and Symphony) and I'm still debating whether I'd want to include them alongside a stalwhart like Raiden III. There's this tag that I have a few issues with, as twin-stick shooters are a little different.

New Shmup on Steam (well Feb 13th), but Raptor: Call of The Shadows - 2105 Edition, only $4.99. Was originally a MS-DOS game.

And a darn good one at that. I've got the 3 original installation floppy disks.

My only issue is the "grinding" required to get decent weapons.

Kinda off topic and speaking of "grinding", but i always wanted a sequel to UN Squadron (Area 88)
That Shmup was like a sub-genre of Shmuppage, any other games like that one out there?

I can't think of anything quite like the SNES Area 88. Carrier Airwing was VERY similar to the arcade Area 88, but that's a different beastie by a bit anyway.

Watched some footage of Falcon on YouTube. Typical western shooter design: even the first enemies you encounter take multiple hits to down. Also, the game appears to very much want to be a Raiden clone, but with western sensibilities (not sensible).

It's not as good, but Sine Mora is probably the closest thing to UN Squadron on Steam. Still a fun game though, unless you ask Dsh.

I also don't like UN Squadron.
