I *really* need to start looking into this. So much this. I get really awful irritation when shaving, and no matter how closely I shave, I can never get all the hair to really go away...AppleQueso wrote:I *really* need to start looking into this. I have the best and worst curse of them all: I'm at my best when I have a light stubble but if I shave too often my skin get irritated and I'm too lazy to shave it before it gets busy.
Also, my beard hair is not really black but a dark, coppered red so it doesn't look too well if I don't shave it in a long time

Buy a beard trimmer and just use that by itself.Erik_Twice wrote:I have the best and worst curse of them all: I'm at my best when I have a light stubble but if I shave too often my skin get irritated and I'm too lazy to shave it before it gets busy.

I realize my shaving needs are a little different in purpose than ya'll's, but I will chip in that I hate shaving my face because I have sensitive skin AND curly facial hair that is very prone to ingrown hairs. I finally went beard-ward and, while I still get occasional facial issues and bumps, it's so much better than shaving every couple or three days.lisalover1 wrote:So much this. If only what I have didn't come in so patchy around the edges of the mustache. It just doesn't connect to the beard well.

As far as facial hair I have the colour patchy look of a teenager with hair that grows fast enough that requires I shave every day AND I have acne which doesn't help in terms of cuts/irritation.
Facial hair is just a plain nuisance. Not sure I'd want to get it laser removed. Maybe someday when I'm old I can rock a killer beard or something.

Older. Not wiser.
