I'd like to say I'd bring MUSHA or Sonic 2 or Shining Force 1 or 2.
But if I'm honest (and assuming I ONLY have a Genesis; no other systems), I'd probably bring:
Super Street Fighter II (and a 6-button controller; 2 if I have the option).
Most of the time when I buy a system, fighters are one of the 1st genres that I consider (instant gratification, near infinite replayability).
And really, it doesn't get much better than playing street Fighter with a good Sega gamepad.
If you could only own 1 Sega Genesis game what would it be?

Probably Street Fighter II: SCE. Or the 6-Pak.

I would settle for SFII:CE if I had to, but I like Cammy a lot.TSTR wrote:Probably Street Fighter II: SCE. Or the 6-Pak.
Also fiery Ken dragon punches.
Also bouncy Blanka rolls.
SSFTII is my pick for sure between the 2.

Comix Zone, because I love it and I can't beat it.

Yeah, I can't beat comix zone either. I love it, but can't beat it. I find that by managing resources better, I can get further, but still don't make it to the end.
I've looked up youtube "let's play" videos. It looks like the only people who can beat Comix Zone are using emulation trickery.

Streets of Rage 2 is my favorite genesis game of all time. I will also go as far as saying it's my favorite genesis soundtrack.

Oh man, a very difficult choice. But I would have to say Sonic 2. That's the game that started it all for me

Reminds me. I was was stuck on a boss in a Famicom game earlier this year. Turned to YouTube for help. Found one Russian(?) video of a guy fighting the boss. And he couldn't beat it.samsonlonghair wrote:Yeah, I can't beat comix zone either. I love it, but can't beat it. When I was a kid, I played Comix Zone constantly and got to the point where I could reliably beat it, honest, no cheating.samsonlonghair wrote:Yeah, I can't beat comix zone either. So it is possible, I promise you that.
I sure as hell can't do it these days though.

I think I've always liked this one a bit more than SoR3 myself. I'm not sure what it is, SoR2 just rocks.Bradtemple87 wrote:Streets of Rage 2 is my favorite genesis game of all time. I will also go as far as saying it's my favorite genesis soundtrack.
