Space Channel 5 - Dreamcast or PS2?

As the title says, I currently thinking of picking up Space Channel 5 and was wondering which version was recommended. The PS2 version, Space Channel 5: Special Edition, comes with parts one and two and can be picked up for about 15 USD. Part one for the Dreamcast costs about 5 USD new, but part two costs about 80 USD and is only available in Japanese.

While I would prefer to pick up the original versions, I don't want to spend that much money on them. Is there any reason to pick up the Dreamcast versions over the PS2 version?

I say pick up the ps2 version. You can get it for 6 dollars at Gamestop and it includes part 1 and 2 in English.

My friend recommends the Dreamcast because you can pirate it and get both parts for free.

Yeah, the ps2 version at least has an english version for part 2. Someone was working on translating the 2nd one on dreamcast, and had, by taking the audio from the ps2 version. The only problem was the button announcements in the audio - x and y vs. square and triangle, etc...

I think there was a finished copy available in a torrent. Don't know though.

DL the dreamcast one for free and burn it. If you like it, buy it. For whatever system. They're supposed to be the same thing.

IMHO the timing for the first Space Channel 5 is god awful on the PS2. It's nice to have an English translation of Part 2, but they play much better on the system they were meant for.

get the ps2 version and the original space channel on dreamcast. forget about $80 on #2... just download it if you must play it on the dreamcast...
