I guess the Wii had three as well, though one was Link's Crossbow Training.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
I think the only real issue with what they showed of Zelda and even Uncharted was they were small gameplay segments that were just showing you what was different and similar in the new games. Where as in the past, those games were never really demoed until they could come out bombastically with huge moments.
It's an interesting and more intimate kind of reveal, I think. Though, we all want the big boom and reveal kind of thing and when it isn't there we can feel underwhelmed.
I do like that the new Zelda strongly parallels the original NES game's production art. It's got a very similar tone for the look of the world. I kind of feel like, this might be more like the world we all imagined we were playing in during the first Zelda.
But my Devil's Advocate thinks:

Your post was basically "I don't care for the general design of 3D Zeldas and this Zelda looks no different." There's a definite difference between the two styles and I don't care that you don't like the 3D style, but complaining that the latest 3D Zelda does things 3D Zeldas does strikes me as silly.irixith wrote:I don't know why, but I expected better. It hurts our personal feels! <insert stupid JPG here that doesn't acknowledge that we read the posts, just that we think we got the gist> Sigh.

I'd still like to see them do an HD release of Twilight Princess. Since Nintendo plainly stated they "tested/messed around with it" while working on Wind Waker. Heck, throw Skyward Sword in there too for good measure. Would be incredible.

I'd like to see that just because it would mean no motion controls!Xeogred wrote:I'd still like to see them do an HD release of Twilight Princess. Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
If Skyward Sword was re-released for the U in HD and optimized for the Gamepad, I know I'd have a lot of fun with it. But as it is on the Wii, I don't know... I can get past the blurry graphics, but I just got real tired of having to wave my arm around all the time. I know a lot of people like it, and I gave it a decent shot (I was several hours into the game) but I just got tired of it. I was actually enjoying the game, too, which is a shame. It's just those damn motion controls. It's not something I can come home from work and play for an hour or two before I go to bed, and that's why I stopped playing it.
Which brings me to my endless debate with Twilight Princess: Play it on the Cube but in 4:3, or on the Wii in widescreen but with motion controls.
Or the third option: Wait until it gets an HD remake on the U!
