 Finals are driving me a bit nuts, mostly my chem. To get credit, I need 43 points on the final, assuming I don't do really good on the test tomorrow. (Which is really most likely not going to happen, thermodynamics are not my friend). To get a C, I need 111 points on the final, which is really going to be hard on a cumulative test. (It is a 150 point test, so it is possible.)

:D Other than one test next week, I have dead days to study/relax for a while. Only have two "real" finals to take, so I'll be all good on that, methinks. Just gotta bust out that chem though.

:? Doing some talking with various people, I think my sleep problems I've had for so long have deeper problems than I thought. Essentially, my body and mind are prepared to go from around 6pm to 2am more than when they are supposed to be. From the people I've talked to, it doesn't sound like my kind is one that can be fixed with medicine or anything like that.

Yeah...good luck on the chem, I took that class for all of 2 or 3 weeks then dropped it(it would be nice if these classes would show how difficult they might be earlier on)...good thing I don't need it like you do(physics is more my speed  ). Though don't understand how in the world i aced the final for physical science(which is half chem and half physics) with a 94 :?

:D - on another note almost finally got my desk together(ikea's 2x4 kallax, linnmon(47"), and alex drawer system). Still need to get the bookcase into my room and assemble it but that is a awkward 83lbs that I don't think I can quite do by myself right now

Smile: Our team finished our semester-long game project today! After losing our lead programmer and a lot of assets, it was great to see our game finished on time! (If anyone wants to see it, I'd be glad to post it, by the way ^_^ )

Frown: These two weeks are finals weeks at DP, and I am absolutely worn out. I still have a programming assignment, as well as a psychology paper & homework due, as well as studying for two exams. It could be much worse, though, and I'm glad it isn't. :)

:) Got my two worrisome finals out of the way... two more to go and one will be suuuuper easy. Not sure how the other is going to go, since we didn't have any normal homework in the class (just a presentation and essay) and no midterm. So I have no clue what the questions will be like :/ I have a few more days to study for it at least, so I think I should be fine.

My woman is graduating next week. I'm proud of her, but I'm sad that she's moving back to her parents home after graduation.

Also, we've been living together. When she moves away, I'll be borderline homeless. This actually concerns me less than it should. I can sleep in my car on warm nights and couch surf on cold nights. I really should find a room to rent. I have a dog, so this is troublesome. I can survive just fine anywhere; the dog has more specific requirements. She really needs someplace with room to roam.

I'd do worse at physics. I'm a bio guy, if I'm doing science. I will say that "combined" science classes either are much easier, or much harder. The Biochem/OrgChem I'm taking next year is a lower level of the normal one, intended to be used as a prerequisite. Its supposed to be easier, although just as in depth. Don't know how that works.

I empathize, Drifter. Chem was the hardest class I took when I was in college. I was lucky to pass with a C.

Smile: Last night I checked out a new exhibit at the local art museum, went on an art walk (basically it's local artists selling their work on the busy downtown streets, had a few beers at a local pub, and went to a jazz concert. After all of that I hung out with some gals and pals. It was a full night, but I'm still upset at myself for missing an opportunity.

As my wife and I enjoyed our drinks, we sat next to a couple that were either Aussie's or Kiwi's. I'd ballpark them at being around forty years of age. I noticed the male half of the couple had a bit of a staring problem and heard him mutter "talk to him" more than a few times. At least that what it sounded like he was saying.

I paid the tab as it was about ten til eight and the concert started seating at eight. So as I get up to leave I notice that the female half of the couple had a left hand exactly like mine.

It all clicked. The guy was encouraging the gal to strike up a conversation with me, but she felt either nervous or that she would come off as rude. I missed the opportunity to speak with her.

And what I kept thinking was that I missed an opportunity to relate with someone, but from a completely different background. That, and I could have made a "nub bud", but mostly I would have loved to learn how she is treated in...wherever she comes from. Ya know, like "are people more or less accepting of your hand where you live", and general questions of that ilk.

Time constraints aside, how often will I ever get that opportunity again? Probably never.

Hey Samson, hang in their buddy. Not that it is any of my business, and not like that will stop me from asking, but did you two have an agreement on the entire "moving out" situation?

So yesterday, Professor Oak asked my wife's and my baby, "Are you a Boy or a Girl?"

Baby replied with, "Girl."

I can not express how excited I am. I came in without any desire for one gender or another and when we found out that she was a girl, we couldn't have been more happy with the outcome. The most important thing was that she was healthy and happy swimming around like a crazy space baby.

Our biggest conundrum is the name. We had a boys name down stat, but we have tons of choices for girls names.

Wife suggested Rosalina. All I can think of is Super Mario Galaxy.
