Am I the only person who loved the original Terminator game on Mega Drive? That game was the tits.

If it's the same as the SNES, it's a surprisingly good time. Not bad really.Niode wrote:Am I the only person who loved the original Terminator game on Mega Drive? That game was the tits.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....time travel mindfuck...Arnie never died...aww hell, I'm in just to see him with that shotgun one more time.
Re: Terminator Genisys
What I want to know is how is there a friendly terminator already there if we see John Connor sending Kyle Reese back for the first time. Has he sent a reprogrammed terminator back to protect his mother because Kyle wasn't ready yet? Just what? Why is there a T-1000 before the events of T2. Gah! My head is just all over the place now.

Re: Terminator Genisys
I have to admit I had NO interest, but that trailer actually makes sense if you break it down and it could be really entertaining. I was surprised to find on wikipedia Paramount wants this to be a rapid fire trilogy of movies out 3 years in a row.
Arnie being at least in this one the primary makes a lot of sense. They show a new timeline where he pops back in time to kid Sarah and saves her. Somehow rewriting and tossing out the original movie in this timeline he kills the 'original T-800' in the past and being a robot with human skin/blood on the surface that all ages over the decades so in this new movie he's old, gray haired, but still moves like that big clunky deathbot he was made to be. I think given he wasn't all nimble and sleek back in the original two films it works when you throw the time aspect onto the outside. It explains away the older actor without looking stupid.

Re: Terminator Genisys
The trailer is out there. It didn't do much for me, not surprised I guess.
Re: Terminator Genisys
I'm assuming Arnold saved young Sarah. That creates an alternate future... but it might not necessarily wipe out the other reality where Kyle Reese gets sent back. You know, it's not unlike all the timeline splits in Zelda. If you believe that "official" timeline, anyway.
Regardless, man, time travel gets weird.

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.Sload Soap wrote:With this, Jurassic World and The Force Awakens, I'm surprised people are getting excited for franchises that have such poor recent track records.
Seriously though, I have huge hopes for Star Wars, moderate hope for Jurassic World, and no hope for Terminator Genisys. I will see all 3 though.

Is it simply hip to be an ass with no faith in anything anymore?
Force Awakens looks great. Jurassic World looks superb. And Genysis looks more than a fun time.
And I'm a cynical and critical jerkwad. All of these movies look great.
Whoever did the casting for Genysis already gets an A+ from me. Sarah Conner looks spot on, in every way.

Re: Terminator Genisys
It's interesting the Lena Headey played Sarah in TSCC who plays Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones. Emilia Clarke who plays Sarah in Genisys plays Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. Of the two female actresses that I feel would be able to play Sarah Connor those two are definitely at the top of my list. Extremely strong female leads. Emilia is stunning as Daenerys in GoT so I'm sure she is going to be just as good in this as Sarah. Very happy with the casting.Luke wrote:Is it simply hip to be an ass with no faith in anything anymore?

I'm also sick of the cynical circlejerk that surrounds things like this. It's ok to have doubts but to just write it off without even giving it a chance is just beyond pathetic. Can't people be allowed to form their own opinion anymore or must they follow the masses on everything. One step closer to the hive mind...
