What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
That's right. Granted, there's some numbers in the movie that simply do not check out, but they were done so to make a point about physics and you need larger numbers to make that point clear to laypeople.

Saw John Wick sometime last week (Weds? Thurs? I don't remember)
Was entertaining. Not rush-out-and-see great, but was very entertaining and a fun ride.

Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

I saw Big Hero 6 last night. I smiled.
I may type a more elaborate review in the future.

St. Vincent
A sort of cliched tale about a cranky, quirky neighbor/friend/outcast who finds a bit of redemption. Bill Murray is at is Bill Murray-est and the supporting characters (including Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts) are delightful. Watts is a scene stealer and McCarthy is empathetic and, surprisingly, restrained. While there's nothing particularly new here, St. Vincent has a good script, fun characters, a nice story and is an overall pleasant feel-good movie that I'd put close to the top of my most enjoyable movies of the year.
This week I'm going to try to see Big Hero 6.

Some film aficionados here might have missed the sad news that Ken Takakura is no longer with us. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... ge-83.html I don't like reading celeb gossip at all but in case an exception can be made. Black Rain was an awesome film but it isn't my Takakura's favourite by far.

Yeah, he was also in The Yakuza opposite Robert Mitchum and one of the leads in the 1994 version of 47 Ronin, which is an excellent version of Chushingura.Pulsar_t wrote:Some film aficionados here might have missed the sad news that Ken Takakura is no longer with us. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... ge-83.html I don't like reading celeb gossip at all but in case an exception can be made.
