Does the American 'Legend of Zelda' Support the Microphone?
Does anyone know if you can still affect a Pols Voice with the microphone on a Famicom if you play the American version of The Legend of Zelda on it (With a 72-pin to 60-pin adaptor)?

I'm not able to test so take this with a grain of salt, but remember reading that the code was actually changed to remove that feature in the North American version. (Since they already were making changes to add a weakness to arrows for that enemy, removing the sound check probably wouldn't have taken significant time/effort.)

I have a Famicom and an adapter, but I don't think I have a save where I could easily head to that dungeon, whichever it is. Unless it is an early one. I forget.

If the Famicom dungeons are the same location/layout as the NES then it's 1/2 into the game.

Level 5 is where they first appear. I would agree (and I think I read) that they did take that sound-activation code out and replaced it with an arrow weakness.
