The thing is, hackers will pursue circumvention whether it's legal or not. Furthermore, very few even care what happens to alter the code of a dated program that is no longer supported.
I would think it's just common sense to allow the inevitable.
Otherwise, I think it's a step in the right direction. The death of paid digital content is a concern of mine.

What if the Mario Bros series isn't about Mario's relationship with Princess Toadstool but instead Bowser's need for Mario to pay attention to him?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Bah, first impression of Binding of Isaac Rebirth, it's lost a lot of it's charm.
I don't like the music as much, I don't like the 'hurt' voice sound Isaac was given. Proper controller support is good. Pixel art versus the smooth hand drawn look it hit or miss. It runs much faster and smoother, but that makes it even harder since everything is faster. A few of the new enemies I ran into are a pain in the ass. So far I don't think this will grab me like the original. Hopefully that opinion changes.

Just a filter to turn on and off that seemed to work a little like one of the ones you usually see in emulators where it tries to guess and mane diagonal lines. I didn't try in game, but at least while on the menu I had the same "ew yuck" reaction they give me in emulators.noiseredux wrote:Hobes I heard you can switch between pixel and HD, am I wrong?

I'm the only one that get's a turn off if a game series has too many sequels in a small set of time? I was looking at assassins creed and there's ANOTHER game coming i didn't even know, assassins creed rogue, that comes almost at the same time that unity. The fist game came out in 2007 and there's over 7 main games in just a 7 year old franchise... is all of this really necesary?

You forget it's published by ubisoft(at least last I checked it was) and like all big corporations they like to milk franchises dry before they move to the next now a days....(seriously that's why we have yearly CoD, Halo(at least used to), nfl, and soccer updates).

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Any thoughts on the Blue Dragon series? I just picked up the one on Xbox 360. It appears to be an "old-school" JRPG (harder and harder to find on consoles these days) and features artwork by Akira Toriyama. I am stoked.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've only played the original, but it's sort of a cross between DQVIII and FFV, with FFX's turn system. I highly recommend it if you're looking for RPGs on the 360.
