As a longtime fan of Idle Thumbs, I'm amazed it took me over a year to complete The Walking Dead. Part of that was drama with a scratched 360 disc after several hours of progression, and my hate for re-starting a game that I'm into.

But The Walking Dead is incredible. I've played some other Telltale games, but this to me redefines what a point-n-click Adventure game is in this day and age. Despite its comic book look, it was brutal and an emotional roller coaster that really got to me. I tried really hard to make the "right" choices, but I don't mean what the game wanted me to do. Rather, what I felt was right in the situation. To be honest. To be a good man. To keep my party moving forward even if that meant sacrifice that was difficult. But at times I did the "wrong" thing out of anger, or sadness. It's brilliant writing that shines a light on what it is to be human. And I'm not ashamed to say I teared up multiple times. I honestly feel this is a game that all who love a well told story need to play - even if you think zombies are trite, I promise you - you've never played a zombie game like this.

I look forward to delving into Season 2 ASAP.

@noise

I am glad you enjoyed the Walking Dead game man. It really is a phenomenal tour de force.
If you were at any point a fan of the Longest Journey adventure game series, I highly recommend getting into Dreamfall Chapters, as it has the same kind of choice gameplay, but I feel that there is a lot more decisions and they feel like they can really make an impact on future episodes.

Looking forward to your thoughts on 2. I thought it was better in some ways and worse in others.

Did you play 400 Days?

Also, The Wolf Among Us is quite good and might be a nice change of pace from TWD.

no, I never bought that one. I was able to pick up S2 for cheap on sale... wasn't sure how necessary 400 Days really was between the two?

RE: Wolf, yeah... it got great reviews, and Telltale is great, so I do plan to play it. But the whole fairytale world is a lot less interesting to me than the zombies. I'm in less of a rush with that one and in fact still have other recent new releases (Borderlands Presequel, NBA 2K15, COD Advance War, Divinity Original Sin, The Golf Club...) that I'm more likely to spend my $ on before buying Wolf.

How are you liking Mordor? Been seeing nothing but positive reviews.
