I did TRY to give TR a fair shot, but even then I ran into bugs that wouldn't let me continue without restarts so I just abandoned it. I think it is a decent entry in a wildly uneven series, but there's nothing special about it...

Also, he wants you to read The Dubliners over the next three days.dsheinem wrote:I did TRY to give TR a fair shot, but even then I ran into bugs that wouldn't let me continue without restarts so I just abandoned it. Technically Uncharted is the Tomb Raider ripoff, TR invented the genredsheinem wrote:I did TRY to give TR a fair shot, but even then I ran into bugs that wouldn't let me continue without restarts so I just abandoned it. Re: Xbox One
If the next XBOX isn't titled "XBOX TWO!" I will be a bit saddened.
This happened:
Me: Xbox. Watch Walking Dead.
Friend: Dammit Luke. *punches table* XBOX! WATCH AMC!!!
I'm still wondering why people paid for an xbox one. I'm not a defeatist, so maybe the console will pan out, but so far it's the 3DO of the now.

Re: Xbox One
Thats interesting, because to me it seems an awful lot like it's just a Prince of Persia clone in 3D with guns instead of swords.ninjainspandex wrote:Technically Uncharted is the Tomb Raider ripoff, TR invented the genre

Kinect is optional, and price is down to $350 with a game...
Forza Horizon 2 - awesome
Sunset Overdrive - rave reviews, looks cool
Halo Collection - OMG ALL TEH HALO
That's in addition to a lot of recent well-regarded cross platform titles. If I am being honest, if you already own a PC and ONLY wanted either a One or PS4, the One has the stronger library of exclusives at this point (certainly for AAA titles, anyway). In any case, I think there's a much better argument now for getting an Xbox One than there was this summer.
Re: Xbox One
Interesting.
Not the part of you being honest, but having the Kinect being optional.
Still think it's a waste of dough. Still need an Internet connection and subscription correct? I could be making large assumptions, but I don't plan on ever buying a console that requires a subscription (you do have to "sign up" right?).
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but even when we recorded the podcast and I asked "One year later, what console should I get?" or something close to that, the answer seemed to be "neither". You would think a new console would drive us gamer-guys crazy. Then again, I could be missing the "it factor", but I don't see people praising either the 1 or 4.
Maybe it is the lack of a decent or substantial library. Maybe not.

Re: Xbox One
Both PS4 and XB1 require an internet connection for updates/online games.
Both consoles require a subscription to play online games.
Neither console requires a persistent internet connection to function. This was dropped for the Xbox One prior to release.
