I do! I found a complete copy for $4 and could not turn down the insane amounts of Konami fan service.

Simon Belmont vs. Pyramid Head in the 110 meter hurdles?! Yes, please!

DriveClub PS4

DriveClub has some serious serious issues. The UI is trash (why do I have to go to my garage to change car paint jobs?), the servers still don't work properly and as such challenges and face-offs rarely work, let alone online play. There is very little in customization beyond paint. There is little music, although what's there in the menu is good.

Yet, I still can't help but think the game is vastly underrated.

It's beautiful. The course design is excellent and interesting to look at. The lighting is on another level from almost all other games on the PS4 that I have seen. The handling model is excellent (once you break out of the hot hatches) and definitely mimics Project Gotham. The variety of cars is very good despite being only European with a few American cars and absolutely no Japanese ones. The challenges and face offs, when they work, are fun to play. The core of the game is really damn good. The idea of having a club with all your friends that competes with other clubs is really interesting. The ability to send challenges to people is especially neat. The whole social and driving aspects are really cool. Too bad server issues are so predominate that half of the fun in the game doesn't work and the presentation is poor enough that many people might not find it interesting enough to explore what's really there.
Older. Not wiser.

Thankfully, my silver DS Lite is a complete beater, and I have no problem further ruining its decidedly less than pristine touch screen.

Total for 2014: 46

I have not added the last 6 games, so I will just being a quick recap for each and try to be better with posting here again.

Killzone: Shadow Fall - PS4
Very pretty game, but about as boring as a first person shooter can be.

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction
Really solid platformer, I look forward to playing the others in the series on the PS3

Super Monkey Ball 3D - 3DS
The circle pad is perfect for this game and it is a solid entry in the series, it is however far easier than the others and the mini games suck!

InFamous: First Light
I got the platinum trophy on this. I found the main story fairly short, but the characters are more likeable than the main game. The arena mode also added some playtime. If you liked Second Son, you will enjoy it.

The Last of Us: Left Behind - PS4
While it is really short, it is really good! Looks amazing on the PS4

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep - PC
Easily the best of the 4 expansion packs, it took me a long time to play it because I was burnt out on BL2 after the second and third DLC. I was given the new BL for my birthday from a mate so I had to finish this in order to start it. Glad I did, amazing.

The unlicensed Taiwanese Famicom port of the arcade game Gaiapolis. Took about 10 continues (the game gives you 99 credits). Been playing the arcade version on the Ouya via MAME4Droid. The game's got some graphical problems there.

Fantasy Life

After 116 hours, it is finally beaten! I still have a few quests to do and I haven't bought the DLC yet.

Just finished up Steamworld Dig, and quite enjoyed it.
So, the game is often cited as Dig Dug meets Metroid. Its definitely heavier on the metroid, as the only dig dug-esk moments come when you dig something and end up having some shit fall on you. this is pretty rare though, as only certain blocks will actually move once a path around them is cleared.

The focus is definitely on exploration and upgrading items moreso than enemies and bosses. Exploring is fun, though, as you are essentially digging out your own metroid map. Powerups are fewer than I had hoped, and the focus is mostly on collecting gold to upgrade the few powerups you do get in the game.

Still, digging into the mine and coming back up to sell and upgrade is relaxing and fun, and you constantly are able to increase the strength/health/etc of your character. There are only a few area change-ups, but they come just at the right time, when you are feeling like the one area has played out. Each area introduces a few new obstacles/enemies to keep things fresh.

The game lays out teleporters, and gives you the ability to buy more and set them where you like, so no matter how deep you dig, you are never too far from cashing in your ore and getting a few more upgrades, which lends itself to great portable play. There are two types of currency, and the one you buy teleporters with is the scarcer of the two, so you at least care about where you set them, which I appreciated.

I finished the game in around 5 hours, which the game graded as a Bronze time. I definitely took my time, so one could probably blast through it in 3 hours or so. There isn't much replay value here, as you are easily able to max out every stat/ability, and even if the mine does randomly generate (I'm not sure if it does), the basic approach would be the same.

Still, for one playthrough, its not bad. It sticks to what it does, but it does it well enough that I was always compelled to come back, especially with the ease of getting in and out of the mine.

noise prompted me to play this. Relaxing puzzle game, perfect for cooldowns between runs of getting my ass blown off in Garegga. Four sets of eight tangram puzzles with tetrominoes, pretty simple. Although the difficulty curve is odd—I found the third set of puzzles harder than the final set.
