Are the actors being corny in a meta-parodical sense, or is this just utter tripe in every sense of the word?

This is probably the first time I've ever seen the whole thing in one sitting. The first time I tuned in right around the scene with Alex and his droogs...
in the beginning when they commit a home invasion where they beat the shit out of that writer and rape his wife while Alex sings "Singin' in the Rain".
And usually in later viewings my interest in seeing the whole thing would get its ass kicked by my ADHD.

I just thank GOD they actually had this at the local library. Not that the library in Buxton isn't good but I can honestly say that I've been to the one in Manteo (part of the same branch) and it had WAY more books. And aside from the library at my old school, I don't really have a basis for comparison.

As for A Clockwork Orange... BRILLIANT! Amazing how after all these years (decades to be precise) since the film came out (based on the book which came out years prior), it has never lost an ounce of its power or relevance.

Also just finished the Jay Mohr comedy special "Funny For a Girl" on Netflix. Funny. Still remember the last time he did a special when I saw it on Comedy Central back in '03/'04.

anyone ever notice how much better old school cover art was? Now on a movie cover it will usually just be a pic of the actor, and if it's horror the actor's mouth will be wide open in shock. And that's it. Pretty lame. We can make movies look better, but put no effort on the cover?

Still too early to tell, but this doesn't look promising:

Not sure that Entertainment Weekly is the best at photo shoots, but yeah that looks bad.

True, but it's the synopsis, not the cover that has me worried. That and Jai Courtney. oof.

Been watching Agents of SHIELD so I thought I would catch up on the latest Marvel movies that are referenced in the show and some of the one shots.

Iron Man 3
I liked it, had a lot of fun things and situations, with the multiple suits and whatnot. I wasn't really a fan of IM2, I especially hated Mickey Rourke's character and I was annoyed by the change of Col. Rhodes. In IM3, I was over the casting change and the action and general pacing was great. Didn't like Guy Pearce's "I'm a dork" make-up, but his performance as a villain was perfect. Not sure I understand the state of Potts at the end of the film.
Does she still have the Extremis crap in her? Not sure.
Marvel One Shot: Agent Carter
Simple and a fun look at her character. I liked the action and one-liners. Gives me hope for the upcoming TV show.

Thor: Dark World
I liked the original Thor, but some things bugged me, namely Natalie Portman's and Kat Denning's characters and that's still the case with this one. It's great when it focuses on the mythology and past or the battles between the dark elves and the Asgardians and struggles during the character interaction stuff between Portman and everyone else. I liked IM3 better than this, but still a quality action movie and Tom Hiddleston is a scene stealer.

Marvel One Shot: All Hail the King
Clearly an olive branch to those upset over the treatment of the Mandarin in IM3. Ben Kingsley is awesome (as I thought he was in IM3) and it's just a fun little take and I love the world building it does. Even though it is obvious nerd-rage-calming, I liked it.

So ... gonna watch episodes 8 - 15 of Agents of SHIELD and then I'm watching Captain America 2 again. The wife hasn't seen it yet, so it should be a treat for her. I really enjoyed it when I saw it in the theater and out of Iron Man 3, Captain America 2, Thor 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy, I think Cap 2 is my favorite.

Sabrina teenage witch - decided to watch this on hulu and it was awesome. I kinda missed watching this stuff since I don't think it comes on that much now a days(since I think the reruns during times I can watch it is over *sigh*). It's just a lot of great 90's movie action that I enjoyed and I can definitely see why it served as the pilot for the tv show. Now it makes me want to go watch the show again(especially since it's been awhile)
