Triad was sold as a standalone game at one point aswell:Retrogamer0001 wrote:FF7 did NOT have the Triad card game in it - only 8 and 9 did, and the game is a horrible mockery in FF9 compared to FF8.

Original cards are super expensive (for obvious reasons), but they have all been released online so you can print out a copy yourself.
I enjoyed the Games Workshop universes for a while, then they updated fantasy from 5th to 6th and all my 4th edition figures were invalidated on a tournament level. That soured me to most of the company's products, well that and in 6th they removed my Chaos Dwarves... A similar thing happened with Squats in 40k 3rd edition. Now if I want a fill of the Games Workshop worlds I play one of three games:Retrogamer0001 wrote:Anyone here into Warhammer 40k? It's not for the faint of heart as far as playing with a budget goes, but I love the modelling and painting aspect of it, as well as the game having probably the best backstory/history to it in the history of science fiction.
1. Space Hulk
2. Mordheim
3. Necromunda
Space Hulk is Aliens the boardgame, and is just a whole mess of fun. Mordheim and Necromunda are squad level play of the Warhammer games. It gives you almost the entire feeling of playing the big game, on a quicker scale. That and both are now Living Rule Books.
Though the best backstory in science fiction history is a very bold comment.
