Thanks guys! I thought my long winded posts were annoying, but I'm glad to see that people appreciate them.

There are no dumb questions, just dumb answers.

You mean that you have a chip and play originals and burned discs? My suggestion would be to use originals as much as you can, use burns only when you have to. If you like a game enough, and play it often, consider purchasing it. I realize that a lot of Saturn games are expensive, so I can understand not buying Panzer Dragoon Saga or whatever. But most games are affordable. People have gotten into heated arguments about it, but most people would agree that burns are harder to read than originals. So you'd assume that the drive has to work harder to read a burn, which would be more wear and tear than using an original.

Thanks Ziggy. That's exactly what I meant.

It was a little theory I had. I thought if you kept switching between originals and CD-Rs, it would make the laser wear worse. I have a Dreamcast since 2002 that played nothing but CD-Rs, but it is still working. That's why I thought about this.

I'm trying to get the originals of my favorite games that I play a lot.

Ps, you never make a long winded post imo.
