Ghegs wrote:Nice, another racer review. I've only played the PS2 game Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, which wasn't all that great.

The latest game in the series is not Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift 2 on the PS2, but Shutokou Battle X aka. Import Tuner Challenge on the Xbox 360. The release dates do make it a tad confusing, as TXR:D2 was released after SBX in most territories. But the games were originally released in Japan in 2005 and 2006 respectively.

I see. Thanks for pointing that out! :D

No problem! It shouldn't be too hard to track down for a decent price, it was a launch title after all.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is the shit. The sequel was not bad either but I hated how often it loaded. It never seemed to stop and was pretty distracting.

But yeah, Tokyo Xtreme Racer - the only racing game outside of Mario Kart or F-Zero that I enjoy.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'll have to keep an eye out for a sequel, not looking forward to those loading times though. Xtreme Racer doesn't seem to have many at all besides from the initial load from the menu to the express-way.

Jurassic Park for the Genesis/Mega Drive

Today I review Jurassic Park for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis. Most movie tie-ins are rubbish, but this particular title didn't suffer from a short development period like most, taking 15 months to create. Does that make this worth playing though?

Sonic "Perler Art" from 8bit Evolution Review

No review this week, but today (for something a little bit different) I review an art piece that 8bit Evolution sent me, involving none other than Sonic the Hedgehog.

F-Zero for SNES Review

After a terrifyingly long break from the SNES, I'm happy to report that I'm reviewing F-Zero today. This game shows how awesome launch titles can be, and showed off what the SNES (with Mode 7) was really capable of at the time.

Cruis'n USA for N64 Review

Today we're back to the N64 to play a port of an arcade machine that's very dear to my heart (which is a very weird thing since I'm in my early 20's).
