Downloaded v1.0 and it fired up without issue. Thanks very much!

Awesome man, no problem. Thanks for reporting back on it.
Re: WELL THIS IS INTERESTING.. Retron 5
Well thanks for your work so far. I've got a Retron 5 and a copy of DuckTales for the NES arriving in the mail on Saturday, and I'm really pleased that, if I want to, I'll be able to use the patch to play DuckTales 2 without having to shell out nearly $200 for it on eBay, considering it's essentially just a new set of levels for DuckTales 1 anyway.R9delta wrote: Also I won't elaborate for obvious reasons but yes you're correct, any snes/sfc game can be patched into another technically speaking.
I'm also excited about some of the rom hacks for the Sonic games. It seems like people have put a lot of love into them!

R9 you really ought to put all of this stuff into a new topic would be a whole lot easier to find and you really just seem to know what you're talking about too

New 2.0 Beta 6
- Added ability to assign "turbo" button mappings
- Split in-game hotkey configuration so that each combination of "system playing" / "controller used" has its own separate mapping
- Removed requirement of at least two buttons for hotkey combinations
- Fixed a problem preventing Genesis cheats from functioning while having fast cartridge loading enabled
Turbo buttons were in the works but they finally had time to implement them. It will also be nice to have a single hotkey for the menu, the Select button on most controllers is a fine place for it.

I actually don't care for the menu hotkeys on the NES/SNES/Gen controllers. I've brought the menu up by accident a few times. I prefer just using the Home button on the R5 pad.
Re: WELL THIS IS INTERESTING.. Retron 5
Yes, but now instead of like Down + Start on the SNES pad which caused more problems than anything else, you can map it to a rarely used button like Select, which is almost like the Home button on the wireless controller.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I actually don't care for the menu hotkeys on the NES/SNES/Gen controllers. Can you use Start+Select? Most of the handheld emulators and I've used use that combo by default and it's rarely a problem.ExedExes wrote: Yes, but now instead of like Down + Start on the SNES pad which caused more problems than anything else, you can map it to a rarely used button like Select, which is almost like the Home button on the wireless controller.

All of my games with fan translations now have R5-compatible patches. I have tested:
Re: WELL THIS IS INTERESTING.. Retron 5
I am having trouble getting the English patch to work with my Seiken Densetsu 3. The main menu just has garbled text/image where the game title is and I can't get it to start the game, I am using the IPS file from romhacking.net. Remove the patch and it works fine in Japanese.
All of my FF3 (Ted Woolsey Uncensored) and A Link to the Past (Goddess of Wisdom/Parallel Worlds) patches work for my other games.
Any fixes anyone knows of?
EDIT: Just used the patches on Retro5.net and they worked like a charm!
