Re: NFL 2014 Thread
Funny part is that news is starting to leak that Terry Pegula's bid for the Bills has finally been accepted today, which is great news for Buffalo in general and solidifies keeping the Bills here for at least the foreseeable future, as they should be. Huge Billion dollar sale of a franchise and a huge win for the supposed 'small market struggle'...
But even if the story runs (leaks) tomorrow, it will be overshadowed by even the slightest new detail about they Ray Rice case. Like a press conference/interview from the wife or Ray himself.
Crazy world we live in.

Saw this story and it made me think about the owners and wanting to make money. Tebow's jerseys sell pretty much anywhere that he is signed. I'm not saying he has to start, but on the team he can put fans in the stands and sell a ton of jerseys for being a backup, not to mention his 1 playoff win is equal to or better than the majority of the starters.

Lol at that Tebow homer post. The NFL is a passing league and he is not NFL caliber throwing the ball. He is very inaccurate and has funky mechanics. He sucks in practice and thus coaches do not feel confident in him.

I'm not gonna deny that at all, but he could be signed for the league minimum and possibly make more than that in jersey sales alone. He may not be NFL calibur, but neither are a lot of the backups in the NFL. They wouldn't even have to play him. He could go to Jacksonville and replace Henne as the backup and be the highest selling jersey on the team and bring a lot more people to home games
Re: NFL 2014 Thread
Tebow's absence from the league is a good argument against Luke's earlier point.

Henne is the starter. And when Tebow is the backup he causes a distraction. The fans dont want to watch Tebow hold a clipboard. It just isnt worth the jersey sales becausr these teams arent hurtinf that bad to solely resort to publicity stunts. Roster spots are precious.SirGawain wrote:Jmustang1968 wrote:Lol at that Tebow homer post. The NFL is a passing leagur and he is not NFL caliber throwing the ball. That read as if Tebow's Mother wrote it.Jmustang1968 wrote:Lol at that Tebow homer post.
I did find the first few sentences amusing though.
"You either love or hate him. When it comes to the polarizing football force named Tim Tebow, your feelings are verifiably black and white. Tebow knows no shades of gray."
The first sentence says Tebow is polarizing. Then the second sentence again says he's polarizing, twice at that. The third sentence says he's polarizing.
I don't think Tebow is polarizing. You either worship the ground he walks on or you don't care about him.
Re: NFL 2014 Thread
No, as only a few people want to see tebow. The one's that do are just super vocal and obnoxious. Plus they'll be too busy with the church luncheon on Sundays to actually attend games.dsheinem wrote:Tebow's absence from the league is a good argument against Luke's earlier point.
Sweeping generalizations!
