Re: Next Gen Ys
Looks interesting, I kind of miss the series. I had the 1+2 package on the Turbo Duo to start, then the DS game. Never had a PC version as they were Japanese or bound to DRM land in Steam. I did have a PSP release or two at one point as well but that system like the PS2 a game was on is gone as well. I even had the SMS version when I had that console.
I think I'd love to play some of that stuff again. Just not really sure what the options are anymore if I have one.

Maybe it's just because I'm primarily a PC gamer nowadays and they have been moving Ys to PC, but it seems to me like there has been a bit of an Ys revival of late. I'm happy to see it, as it has always been a great series. Here's to hoping this latest one also finds itself on PC.

You can buy the Japanese physical releases and then apply English patches. This isn't cheap, however.Tanooki wrote:Never had a PC version as they were Japanese or bound to DRM land in Steam.
Agreed.J T wrote:Here's to hoping this latest one also finds itself on PC.
Though it's important to note that many of the Falcom games that ended up on Steam originated as Japanese PC games.
Hopefully this game, Celceta, and Seven will end up on PC/Steam someday (well, Ys Seven was ported already - but it's in Chinese).
Re: Next Gen Ys
Same here, especially because once I finish ys I(which i do enjoy just haven't remembered to pick up my vita to play it) this one just looks amazing(and because it's a rpg like this I can't see playing it on pc...what few rpg's I have played on pc I keep wondering "why in the world am I not playing this on a console especially not a portable?")BoneSnapDeez wrote:Awesome. Re: Next Gen Ys
If XSEED brings the next Vita Ys to the USA in English, I'll buy it, just like I did the first one.
