Other than some stuff in iOS itself, what apps for the 5/5c don't work at all on the 4s/5?

I'm still waiting to see just what games I will miss out on by not buying this. As I've said already, I'm sure I'll end up owning one, but it might not be something I need to rush into.

Xenoblade is nice, but I own it on Wii U, and I'm not sure I'm up for another 130 hour trek through the game right now (especially as they havent mentioned any new content).

It's still to be seen whether this is more akin to the Game Boy Color, which was a pretty essential upgrade that offered lots of exclusive games, or the DSi, which, for all I love the thing, wasn't really an essential purchase in terms of new content availability (a couple of exlusive games literally no-one gave a shit about, and a decent little download service, but one which wasn't really stocking anything really horrible to miss out on, and which became available shortly after on the 3DS anyway). We'll see.

The person naming these things really needs to be fired... was Wii & WiiU not confusing enough.

When I was a kid, my mom was buying me GB & NES games for Christmas... picture a non techy savvy mom now walking into Walmart to buy her kid new Nintendo games for his console & handheld LOL... poor parents.

No plans to get one, I'm stuck a few generations back.

An add on right handed C-Stick on the model below?

What I don't get now seeing the image that crt posted is why they didn't leave the start and select where they were and put the new nub right under the abxy or even move the abxy down and put it above it with a bigger thing of course....seems awfully small the more I think about it...

Agree, that "view" nub is so tiny and seems like the upper screen is in the way of placing your thumb. The whole set of buttons should have been moved down even with the DPad on the left. Maybe a secondary same sized Circle Pad will be placed on the right in the next revision?

I bet this is the final revision. I know it doesn't exactly line up (if you count the XL models) but Nintendo seems to go through about 3 revisions of each handheld.
Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Micro
DS, DS Lite, DSi
3DS, 2DS, new 3DS

Yeah but they could always come out with a xl or something(if that's even possible) of it to fix the issue which I wouldn't be shocked if they did. I just wonder where they are going to go after this. Though I think it's time for a new creative lead on designing the systems because that is just weird how they decided to place that the more I think about it....

As far as the New 3DS goes, this would have made me happy:

I'm planning to talk about it on my blog later when I get the time. But the shoop I put together shows the basics well enough.

Maybe there will be something like that for an actual next-gen Nintendo portable. But the New 3DS is just a revision with a slightly faster version of the same CPU, some extra inputs, and better overall quality.
