I think it's honestly been about two years since I've turned on my 360.
If you want Halo or Gears of War? Otherwise, the PS3 has everything else and just continues to pile more and more exclusives as time goes. I think it's very clear they weren't kidding about continuing their support for the PS3 for a few more potential years to come, just like the PS2. Admittedly it's a lot more Japan centric stuff and JRPG's, if you're into that. But it'd be interesting to see an exclusives comparison chart at this point. What's MS doing with the 360 right now? lol.
I see absolutely no reason to turn back. If you already have a PS3, eh. If I were in your shoes I'd just spend that $70 on a new Wii U or PS4 game instead.

360 has exclusive shoot em ups if you're into that genre.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
It's also the better platform for most console-exclusive multi-plats (e.g. Bayonetta).Violent By Design wrote:360 has exclusive shoot em ups if you're into that genre.

lol, I had to do a double take. Thought it was the 360 version that was awful in this case, but you're right. It was the PS3 release. Other than that and potentially the Bethesda games though, I don't think there's many other extreme cases out there.dsheinem wrote:It's also the better platform for most console-exclusive multi-plats (e.g. Bayonetta).Violent By Design wrote:360 has exclusive shoot em ups if you're into that genre.
I was 360 only for 80% of the last gen or something. But once I switched to the PS3 I just don't see any reason to go back. Not to mention that dashboard makes my eyes bleed!

Well, most western console multi-plats. With your given exception, a lot of Japanese-developed games are better on PS3, if they're on the 360 at all.dsheinem wrote:It's also the better platform for most console-exclusive multi-plats (e.g. Bayonetta).Violent By Design wrote:360 has exclusive shoot em ups if you're into that genre.

Skyrim I didn't mind, even kind of liked it a lot with a controller. But I have seen the PC version in action and all, it's definitely a different experience.marurun wrote:And a good PC is much better on that count.Damm64 wrote: And any game developed by bethesda.
I spoiled myself with the Fallout's though and can't stand them on consoles haha. So many great mods (including the simple font changes that really help), and it's so much easier to loot with a mouse. Skyrim was different being a better engine, but the two Fallout's were really stiff and chunky on consoles.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
If you're gonna mess with console FPS, then the 360 controller beats the dognuts off the DualShock 3.
But really you should be playing with a KB/M.
EDIT FOR COMPLETELY UNRELATED RANDOM GAMING THOUGHT:
I wonder if GamersGate is getting a lot of sales they weren't expecting lately.

But it's still not quite as good as the Wii U Pro gamepad for FPSs, in my opinion.TSTR wrote:If you're gonna mess with console FPS, then the 360 controller beats the dognuts off the DualShock 3.
